There are certainly worse directors they could have picked, and just about anything would be a step up from Zack Snyder's repetitive, self-indulgent crap. Still, the DCU is a narrative mess full of unlikeable, inexplicable characters. They haven't made a good movie yet, so maybe the bar for JL of BM is low enough for one of them to surprise.
@turkeygod: I dunno. The middle seasons felt like they already had a lot of filler. The pace has improved since they realized the last books aren't coming any time soon and decided to just go ahead without them.
@nuke2099: 1 was mediocre. Not engrossing, but tolerable as action-horror-popcorn timewasters go. 2 was definitely the low point of the series. Everything from there on was just recycling the same nonsense over and over and over, but none of them were as bad as 2, which is not to say that any of them have been good...just not quite that bad.
A pretty abysmal weekend for the box office, and RE6 still only finishes 4th? Yeah, this will definitely be the last in the series, unless the next installment skips theatres and goes straight to Syfy.
