[QUOTE="Drycht"]I am a truck driver so the only gaming I can do is on a laptop. I searched everywhere for the right laptop and in my opinion the ones to go after are the Asus ones in Best Buy. Check out their website. They are amazingly powerful laptops with the GTX 260M for like 1300 bucks. Hard to beat. If you want something better than that you could purchase an Alienware. Alot of people bash Alienware but they are fantastic laptops and affordable if you can get a discount by being in the military or a student of 5-15%. Then when you recieve the laptop, call them up and say you are unsatisfied and they will offer to subtract $200 off your bill if you keep the laptop instead of returning it.Vuurk
Quick question- I'm in the military and I'm a student. Do I get a double discount for that? Also, is the $200 subtract trick a guaranteed deal or is it only for some customers?

Military and student discounts never stack, unfortunately. The $200 subtract trick is an example of why I never want to work in business. People act like spoiled idiots in order to get crap cheaper or free, and they're willing to deceive to do so.

Best bet. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220642&nm_mc=OTC-17exta6&cm_mmc=OTC-17exta6-_-Notebooks-_-ASUS-_-34220642

Get it now while it's $200 off.

That laptop is perfect for what you want. Whatever one you choose, make sure it has a Geforce 260m or higher graphics card, which should last you a few years at least.

I dont get it why would you get a Vaio? You know youre paying alot for the brand right? There are better and cheaper laptops outhere.

rzepak
I don't get why a lot of people posting here go with them. They're probably near the worst bang for your buck out of all the brand names.

For most games, 30 FPS. For any fast paced shooters, though, 60 is a must.

Vaios are overpriced.

Buy this laptop:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220639&cm_re=260m-_-34-220-639-_-Product

The video card is much better than what's in the Vaio, thus, it will last you a lot longer.

no body used to talk Dedicated servers or not but after MW 2 Hype every one now is talking about Dedicated servers, Weird !!!

link

Dark_prince123
Because dedicated servers used to be standard. Now gamers are afraid that developers may throw them out the window so that they can charge for DLC.

I have both and I'd say L4D2. It allows for user made comment too, so it has longer legs.

I played the Beta and liked it a lot. But is the community thriving or is it slowly dying and I'm better off getting MW or Mw2?

Steameffekt
The community is still alive and kicking.
