@luniac @nousername66 That's a propaganda line right there. The idea that Germany was somehow going to conquer the US is a complete absurdity. Take a look at the GDP comparison, and tell me how the Nazis were going to subjugate the Americans.
The best chance they had was to get the UK to agree to terms after the Battle of Britain stalemate. From there, they could have waged an even up war with the Soviets in the East. Germany's end game was to simply conquer the east ie. Lebensraum. Anything beyond that like this "you'd never have been born if it wasn't for the Soviets", is complete BS, and at best pathetic speculation.
@gamingfrendly @nousername66 Nice observation captain obvious. Some were clearly worse than others in terms of starving their own people, raping civilians, and sending POWs to gulag archipelago in what was typically a wretched death sentence.
The Russians crying about western propaganda is hilarious when the Soviets were the pinnacle of information control. They rivaled the Nazis in their use of propaganda, with their only short-comings stemming from ineptitude.
I used to collect video game junk, but it's steadily gone the way of the dodo over the past several years. It went from being displayed out in the open to put away in a closet. Now I've probably thrown away about 90% of it, and keep only my all-time favorite boxed games. Even still, those favorites are stowed away in closet status.
@farcorners @polterdice Many of the economists forecasting looming disaster are of the Austrian School. I guess if you don't consider that "actual economics", then you're right. It's a closed minded perspective though.

@DeFiLeDTitan But the federal government and their central bank tell me that cpi is very low to non-existent. You must be imagining this nonsense about goods/services becoming more expensive... Well either that or the government has a vested interest in reporting an unrealistically low level of inflation to the public.
@LokiHero Fair point to bring up then. I think a more interesting figure than the % of total gamers would be what % of $ sales in gaming women make up. My guess is they tend to play more $5 downloads on their phone, and may make up a disproportionately small section of the money that's to be made in gaming.
I could be wrong of course, but that would be my prediction at least.
