Did they really lie about backer numbers? People are saying it's registered users on the site, not people that paid money.

I only use consoles for exclusives (uncharted etc). Haven't yet bought a ps4 / xbone yet, but plan on getting the former in the next few months

Uncharted 2 is one of the best games ever made. But I'd rather buy a mediocre exclusive than a remake of the uncharted series.

Never really thought about it until today, but this whole survival early access stuff being popular is quite clearly because of Minecraft. The kids that grew up on that game are still looking for that fix, albeit not minecraft because they are bored of it. People kinda want to be involved in a project that is under development, just like minecraft.

Early Access is basically kickstarter with a playable game. Just like Kickstarter it may never get finished, although unlike kickstarter it will probably become boring for a large number of players before it gets finished.

does this only include games sold through the steam store? or also games sold by other sites that were redeemed on steam.

Steamspy just crawls through users and finds new owners. So, it would include any key that was activated on Steam, via retail or other digital stores.

Escapists are not backing down, instead they have more sources that corroborate the other's claims.

Derek Smart will also have a new blog soon, which should stir the pot a bit more.

10 year old PSU in a 6 year old PC should be ok. Plugs haven't changed too much, might not have PCI-E gpu plugs but you can always use adapters.

Unlikely you will blow anything up.

So we have a bitter ex-employee who got the boot.

According to The Escapist, we have nine of them.

No it is a fabrication. Do you think random employees have any financial data? No they don't. No business in the world operates like that.

It's bullshit. You got some pissed off employees smearing their past company to get The Escapist some hits.

Um, I was directly addressing your claim that they merely copied some anonymous reviews. They did not, they verified them as ex employees. They have given voice to their claims.

But if you want to claim that every piece of information they have provided is false, be my guest.
