I got RR free when I picked up my new PS3. To be honest, I wasn't really expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Having not played previous Operation Flashpoint games, I can't really compare, but I appreciated the fact you can't just charge headlong into battle, soak up a clip of ammunition, hide, and regenerate health. The AI isn't perfect, and I often found myself waiting for them to catch up, but the overall command you have over your squad really made the game for me.
The amount of glitches and bugs in Skyrim really don't do it justice. The game had so much potential to live up to the hype properly, but the issues sadly weren't dealt with pre-launch.
I much preferred the mechanics of RDR in comparison to GTA 4 - it just feels nicer to play. Graphically, I would say that Red Dead had the edge too. As historically inaccurate as it may be, it is a game, not a history lesson, and should be treated as such anyway. In terms of online play though, I am leaning toward GTA 4 as a redeeming quality - lots of fun to be had there.
