can someone please explain to me how they're advancing in the game simply by pressing x only? i'm in chapter 4 and getting smashed by the bad guys. i'm leveling up my char's crystal grid too. i have to switch paradigm during battles to win.. i buff up my chars and debuff the bad guys before attacking. the portion of the game where i had to play as sazh & vanille was tough. seriously.. where's all this talk about pressing x only coming from? are we playing the same game? did i accidently select hard mode? and like a few of the posters above.. i try to get the 5 stars.

probably dated gameplay too, JRPG's battle system is dated, everything should be done on the same map/screen now.
like mario is not going to receive good review cuz its gameplay is dated tho it's still fun to play, but far from great.
so are you saying the highly praise dragon age's battle system isn't dated? i'll have to play this game to see why ff can't measure up.

i been a long time fan.. last couple of years i been feeding my ff hunger by playing the remakes (3 & 4) on the ds. the time has come to feast on a real meal. ahaha.
I think what a lot of people don't like is the fact that every great game needs a sequel. Bioshock was one of those games where most of the fun was exploring a wholly new environment and setting. Bioshock 2 doesn't hold that surprise...we've been to Rapture already. I, personally, feel that Bioshock was one of those games that really didn't need a sequel. I may end up trying Bioshock 2 out, but it won't be for quite a while. Canvas_Of_Flesh
you said you built your rig a year ago.. have you updated the driver? if you haven't try that. ccc will allow you do create profiles without editing anything in notepad. all you have to do is set the fan speed under overdrive (if i remember correctly) and then save the profile.
