@Spartan-1657: It's not overrated... they just went in a different direction and tried something new. With that said I can't help but wonder how epic this game could have been with them using something closer to the classic, huge, themed dungeons like in past Zelda games.
I've played both demo's and believe it or not I think I like the gameplay of LIVE a tad more. Maybe I'm just tired of 2K and their VC bullshit. But credit to EA for finally getting LIVE back to respectability. LIVE is a little easier to just pick up and play also if you're not a hardcore hoops gamer that memorizes 50 button inputs. Graphics are both good imo. I think I'm just boycotting NBA 2K from now on with how the game is basically behind a paywall to advance your career player and the VC crap is just flat out greed and total nonsense. Tired of companies fucking the gamer over.
@no_one: I guess. It's pretty much the exact opposite in the US. Digital usually stays full price for a really long time outside of a PSN or LIVE sale while physical copies reduce in price pretty quickly. I'd say digital versions cost double of what many physical copies of games cost. I'll give you an example. Just bought the physical copy of Madden 18 from Best Buy in a deal of the day that was $31 bucks with GCU. The digital version on PSN and LIVE is $59.99 and will stay that price for a really long time even after the physical version permanently drops to $40 or less.
This is the best golf game to date. Forget the cutesy look of the characters... the physics and gameplay blow all other golf games away. Graphics are stellar on PS4 Pro. Player customization is top notch. Online play is also very good and addicting. Got this for $30 bucks. Best purchase ever. Easily a 9/10 score type game.
Would have probably lost interest in gaming a while ago if it weren't for kick ass Devs like CD Projekt Red. Too bad there aren't more game companies like these guys.
@Gelugon_baat: That's exactly the point though. EA does have a monopoly and never really improves on Madden from year to year outside of some minor additions and a roster update... yet reviewers are still giving it high marks instead of pointing out the major gameplay flaws it has every year. Game reviewers today have no credibility.
What is basically the most important thing in a football to get right? TACKLING!! collision detection and proper physics. All which have been garbage in Madden for years! And even with a new game engine... the ultimate SLACKERS EA still carry over the same awful animation based tackling system where 80% of the tackles are laughable and look nothing like what you see on NFL Sunday. If you are reviewing a Madden game... it can't get anything over an 8 review score until EA finally addresses the tackling and collision/physics issues. The game has been flawed for years but reviewers keep giving EA a pass. Must be the secret cash envelopes that come hidden inside the review copy of the game.
