@SSL_Syn @stevenk4k5 I think you're right with this current gen console war with Wii... because many like myself blindly ran out and bought Wii on the Big N reputation. But the reality is Wii fizzled out, and after playing the 1st party stuff there really wasn't much left and it became a dust collector. This next Gen Console war will be different... and many will hold off and see how things play out game wise. If you look at 3Ds and PSVita it's just more proof that there's no reason to rush out and buy new consoles or handheld's on day one. Games make a console and this time around reputation alone won't be enough for Nintendo to pull in sales with Wii U. It took a while to figure it all out... but many like myself are now in a 'wait and see' mode.
@almossbb @dnguyen3 Exactly. It's always going to be the GAMES that make the system... so it's foolish to not just wait and see what consoles are delivering the best game libraries that appeal to you. Being an owner of multiple consoles this gen(with a backlog of games to still play).... I'm going to be really picky and wait out the next Gen consoles to see which one's offer the best bang for the buck.
@dnguyen3 I agree... however I'm nervous after the last two Zelda games being good... but not great like previous Zelda's. I'm no longer buying the Nintendo system and waiting for the 1st party games to arrive. I'm waiting to see how good the games are and then deciding if it's worth buying the Wii U. Look how Wii fizzled out game wise.... and look at 3Ds and it's weak game library! Anyone who rushes out just to be the first to own a system these days without a killer game library available is a fool.
Don't care about the social networking stuff on a game console. In the end it's going to be the games and unique gaming experiences that gets me interested in Wii U. I like the drawing on the pad stuff.... but I can't draw! I need to hear and see more this week to get back on the right side of the fence with Wii U.
I am a multi console owner... and will probably be with the next gen systems too. But I'm not feeling the Wii U at the moment. Backwards compatible with Wii games is a must first of all. As always it's the GAMES that will drive a system and it's purchase... and I'm willing to wait and see this time around. Didn't love the last two Zelda games like I'd hoped to, and I'm willing to hold off on the Wii U until something blows us away and makes it a must have. I'm done just running out and buying a new console. I need to see that it will have some legs first.
