Sup GSpot, I need someone with a MICROPHONE that wants to beat this game on insane. For some reason I cannot find anyone that is adequate online for this purpose, but it would be great fun. Hit me up on XBL if your interested. Thanks!
XBL Gamertag - Om3g4 Prim3
Thanks! see you on the front.
Do yourself a favor, pick up ANY copy of the game you can get your hands on. however, some are better than others, and if you like traditional, yet ground breaking RPGs, there is no question that you should play and will love this masterpiece. IGN said so d00d. do it NOW!
Well, i happen to be a fan of XBLA games, so I recently got the new Dungeons and dragons game, Gatling gears, and most of the other multiplayer co op games. since the HDD based games are the only ones that I can currently play, (*SIGH*) I was wondering if there were any "Gems" out there that are not so main stream that you could recommend. Oh, and if you need a Co-Op Partner for some of the OLD ass Shti that is on XBLA, i probably have it, shoot me a message (XBL GAMERTAG = Om3g4 Prim3). Thanks peeps, see you on Live.
OK, i am sure that I am not the only one, but I am probably one of the only voices that hears this. Zombie mode needs some kind of XP identifier. its just that plain an simple. if I am going to commit to play zombie mode, i want some sort of player progression. I need some XP factor. like seriously. there is really no REASON to play zombies other than to get to the next wave. i want some kind of progression, and I think that if you added some sort of leveling system in this game mode, it would be incredible. I would love to get to prestige Level 15 on zombie mode, etc etc, with perks, more sodas, concotions, whatever?! its just this mode is not harvested correctly. there has to be something more permanent. zombie mode has gained momentum in these current releases, but where is our ZOMBIE XP?! and even KILL STREAKS? if I got 50 zombie killstreaks, etc. that would rock ass. there is so much potential here, but its just a backburner game mode. hopefully they get some kind of XP progression system soon. what are your thoughts? post em UP>!
[QUOTE="om3g4_prim3"]Could you elaborate on this a bit?I know that their scoring system is JACKED UP though, because they seem to have mixed up how downs and kills should work..
LetsPlayer
Hey, how are you, and thank all of you for your opinions, its good to hear them and share them with each other.
Now onto your question "letsplayer", it seems that many players are angered by the fact that you can "down" and enemy, and then someone else kill that player, getting the actual "kill" and more XP. anyone care to further this information? i could be off...
Well, here we are at this mighty table, to discuss the reasons why this is so upsetting, and partially frustrating to see this system, understand it, and then just become generally annoyed when its actually in play. let me make my points clear to you.
1. Leveling System (General) - OK, so this system is what appears to be the same as many other FPS in this day. you kill, get XP, there are certain challenges that you can complete to get bonus XP, and certain actions / kills give you more xp than others. This is great in and of itself. I love XP systems, no matter the game genre. This system is pretty much basic. You gain levels, and thereby gaining levels, can ulock new ranks, and consequently new pieces of armor. Granted, this game does not allow any other effects or benefits to leveling except for the cosmetic (appearance) aspect of your armor. which is a Great and welcome addition to the halo series, for it adds a shallow layer of depth to leveling and progressing, but leaves the palette wanting...
2.XP system, and its Pacing - Here is where I have some really crucial concerns. I have been playing the game since release, sometimes more than others. probably around two to three times a week. but HOLY KRAP, this game takes FOREVER to reach the next level.... and i am talking a LONG TIME, especially once you hit the higher levels, even when you complete all of the challenges. And the really bad thing.....You dont even get ANYTHING for a lot of the levels you progress to. which means you took like a solid day or two to gain the next level, with NO reward whatsoever. this would not be so bad if it did not take so bloody long to level in the first place (ala Black ops), or even if you could expect a new armor piece for each level. I feel like they left this balancing reward / Play system on the back drop, which is kind of understandable, since this is the first time in the series you could unlock ANYTHING in the halo series period.
What are some of your thoughts / opinions? hope it was not too long of an article, but I would love to see more weapon customization, as well as other things, as any game can benefit from customizable characters / weapons / logos, and I feel like call of duty really raised the bar to a desirable level with it's latest outing. now i know every game is not call of duty, and some of the things need to stay in their respectable territories, but customization could benefit anywhere, without ruining gameplay for the most part.
Honestly, I think he is very correct, you should always get rewarded or credited for your performance or ability in gaming and it should be accurate, and make sense. They need to fix the Down / Kill system with a XP fix. its much easier to kill a downed foe than it is to actually take them down. Plain and simple, you cant really argue with that. You just have to realize that "downs" should be more significant than actual "kills" when you are looking at the score board. it needs to be addressed and balanced accordingly, because plainly put it really depends on the battle situation, and ironing out how it should actually work could potentially get complicated. but it does need a small tweak on what they are doing with it.
Ok, let me start off by saying this. Just by the sheer fact that they added a deathmatch mode, and some really badass new weapons.... I am in love. I used to NEVER play the online modes of Gears, I just didnt like the fact that you only had one life per "match". However, I LOVED hoarde mode. this really fixes things, and keeps you in the action, on top of having some interesting and creative new weapons, that add new tactics to the core gameplay. I know that their scoring system is JACKED UP though, because they seem to have mixed up how downs and kills should work. hopefully they listen to the community. but overall, its very satisfying to play, a Lot of fun, and is only in the BETA stages, so I am sure that the complete game will offer a ton of awesome content. hopefully Multiplayer character customization, that would be nice, and hopefully some kind of "unlocking" system for leveling up. What are your thoughts? myself not being a hardcore multiplayer contestant on any of the previous games, i would like to hear from some of the veterans that played the last 2 consistently. ChEERs.
