Thanks for everyone's input. It appears I'm not the only one. I'll do the speedtest and see if that helps me decide if a new router is necessary.

Ok, I've had my PS3 for awhile and have little to no complaints. However, is it just me or does it take forever to download a demo, game or surf the net on your PS3. Now I understand the internet on PS3 is free but come on!!! I'm hoping its maybe my router but this same router is also for my laptop and it moves ten times faster than my PS3. I mean it literally takes me almost 2.5 hours to download a demo that has less than 900 MB. If you can please give me an idea of what routers you all have chosen for yourselves so that I can compare those specs with mine and see if I need an upgrade. Thanks

I have read about 7 pages of people's comments on this topic and i'm impressed with the different views people have on this very controversial game. I for one respect what GTA IV has done for gaming in gerneral. To not recognize that GTA didn't pioneer the idea of mondern-open world exploration would be like denying FFVII's contribution to make games more cinematic.

I appreciate all of GTA's contributions but I for one lost interest in the series and wasn't due to the vilolence. I for one enjoyed Saint's Row much more than GTA. Maybe it was the ability to create my own avatar, or story, tighter controls (loved their new idea of a targeting system), or just over customization features. I understand it was more of GTA clone but I enjoyed it longer than GTA and found the characters more appealing.

But to each's own and hope everyone enjoys whatever they spend their hard earned money on.

I've always been into the FFVII series and can't get enough talking about Crisis Core. The game is unbelievable. I've already leveled Zack to Level 18 and only been playing the game for less than three hours. I've been doing mainly the missions and enjoying the challenge of fighting the monters much stronger than Zack. Besides the unbelievable voice acting and story, the CG graphics in the cutscenes, the cool real time battle sequences, the side missions....the fact that its FFVII is like icing on the cake.

I can only hope the do a remake the orignaly FFVII but I don't want to start that conversation again. LOL.

[QUOTE="BryceyMan1"]I dont have or played any crisis core games but should i get ccff7?Yorro

Are there any other Crisis Core Games?

There was a Crisis Core game for mobile phones months ago but I don't think it did well. It wasn't compatiable with my previous phone so I don't know. The other FFVII spin off was Dirge of Cerbus starring Vincent for the PS2 which was ok but not as great in my opinion. I think that was about it unless you including the movie Advent Children.

Just as a testament to see what the PSP is capable of alone, you should buy this. I'm a FFVII fanactic so I might be a little biased so I'll try to give you a good critique of this game without being too over zealous.

The graphics and CG cutscenes are very impressive. I specifically got a PSP for this game solely (just got it on 3/24).

The gameplay is pretty fast paced with switching between magic and attacks. It can get repetitive mashing the X button over and over again but I believe with the story will pull you in enough to not mind wanting to progress forward.

Plus its like being in Vegas playing on a slot machine watching your character do a devastating attack or get leveled up.

I think you should definitly buy but if you're still sketical, go to a friend's house and play it for 30 minutes and I PROMISE, you'll be hooked.

Hi everyone,

I just recently received of PSP for my birthday on 3/24/08 and I'm pretty impressed with this device. I already purchased FFVII: Crisis Core and a few other games. Now my questions are this:

1. I have downloaded games on my PS3 that can be played on my PSP but how can I get them on my PSP?? I already registered my PSP and all but not sure how exactly to get the games on it. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm really new to this.

2. I also can't seem to get on the internet with my PSP despite using my router, PS3 or local lines. I have my WLAN turned on but everytime I try to go online I either get an error saying "was not able to connect due to weak signal," or "it couldn't find the access point." My PS3 is attached to my PSP and can go online fine......but why doesn't my PSP jump on it as well.

Well I appreciate any input any of you can provide. Thanks in advance for yourt comments.

  1. Resistance: Fall of Man (I haven't been this addicted to a FPS since GoldenEye and that's syaing something)
  2. Uncharted (I just got it recently and its like a movie I don't want to end.....if you don't own....you must BUY!!)
  3. Assasin's Creed (this game was unbelievable on my first 4 Assasinations but its starting to get repetitive and Uncharted is stealing its shine right now)

Honarable mention

Fight Night Round 3 (still playing this game every once in a blue to see if I still got it.

I say you go with Uncharted.

AC has a longer length, but that's only because they packed so many repetitive missions into it.

I totally agree. Once you make your first three assasinations....it seems to get repetive. Its still an amazing game and you're able to spend hours tryign to find all the flags, and whatnot but it gets mundane. I'm thinking of Uncharted as well cause I loved the demo.
