I am quite surprised that this lawyer was not disbarred from the Florida Bar earlier. His conduct is unprofessional.

I like the advice I am reading on this thread which will be helpful in helping my odds in online races.

I seem to notice after playing dozens of online matches that I do better if there are less racers, for example, five racers including myself, as opposed to the maximum of twelve. This may be due to the fact that the more racers, the more competition I have, as well as the greater chances of being hit by an item. Even so with eleven other racers, I can finish first, but it seems this is based on luck than skill.

Currently, I have three licenses with ratings ranging from 5700 through 6100 points. By the way, why do in some races that I lose 60 points, but in some I lose just a point?

After several online races in Mario Kart Wii, I noticed that sometimes the first place player will receice less points than the second or third place player. Sometimes, I see the second place player lose points while the third place player gains points.

How are points determined, as it seems that just finishing first in a race does not guarentee having the most points?

I think this concern over shovelware is nothing more than paranoia and elitism expressed by some hardcore gamers. I just wish some learn that they are not forced to purchase nor support shovelware. Also, they should also learn that people have different tastes in gaming.

Nintendo should not, and will hurt it in the long run.

By the way, it is naive to say that game quality contributed to Atari's or the video game industry's decline in the early 1980s as that factor is one of several factors. Another factor is competition from home computers which were becoming affordable in the early 1980s. One again the decline of the video game industry more than two decades ago has little to do with quality, but other factors which gamers often ignore.

I noticed after completing three online races in Mario Kart Wii that I have a WFC record of 20 wins and three losses. I also noticed that playing three Battle matches online that I have a record of 10 wins and zero losses. My teams won the first two Battle matches, but unfortunately Nintendo's WFC disconnect me before I completed the third match (my team was winning on that match as well).

I would like to know: how does the online system determine the number of wins and losses? Is it the same as Mario Kart DS?

Another question: what is the "Tournament" when I go online on the Mario Kart Channel?

Why I am feeling that this thread belongs in System Wars because of the Wii bashing?

Before I switched to Comcast high-speed Internet when I moved, I was using Verizon's DSL service which allows me to use a third-party router. The Apple Airport Express works fine when I used Verizon's service, but when used Comcast's, I cannot connect to the Internet. The same goes when I purchased a wireless router from Netgear and when I purchased a LAN adapter from my Wii from Nintendo. For both, I have to return them for a refund.

I liked Comcast's service because it does not disconnect that often than Verizon's, but not allowing me to use a third-party router to connect to the Internet is disheartening. I refuse to pay for Comcast's "home networking" service where I have to purchase a router from the company so I can use WiFi as it is costly ($149). If Verizon allows third-party routers with its Internet service, why not Comcast?

I recently learned that Comcast does not allow me to use a third-party wireless router with its high-speed Internet service and I would like to know what ISPs allow third-party routers.

I do not know if this question is appropriate for this forum.
