LOL!
LOL. GRAW 360 is far from realistic. You could tell that Pete is an extreme console kiddy.8800s can't do AA and HDR at the same time.Platearmor_6Sorry to burst your bubble, but the 8800s could do AA+HDR. *rolls eyes*

Sorry but Oblivion doesn't even support Dual Core processors. The video card and ram are right on IMO, but I think a P4 3.0ghz would suffice to BEAT the 360 version.
My old p4 3.2 absolutely smoked it. Anyway, the problem with console games is that they generally also display at a MUCH lower resolution than would look even half-decent on a PC monitor. As such, it doesn't take as much muscle to make them look good.1080p is a low resolution? O_O The Xbox 360 upscales to 1080p. In other words, it is a stretched image of 720p. There are no games on the Xbox 360 that is native 1080p. All the games have been developed natively for 720p. To make a game in native 1080p would be more expensive for developers and costly for the console. The 360's HDR looks like bloom compared to the lighting on the PC version. The PC version also has better textures.Neither version of Oblivion is the "ultimate". PC ver. has better draw distance and 360 ver. has better lightning.
Doesn't matter what equipment you have, some aspects will never look as good on a pc, and vice versa.
Anyway. To run it smooth on maxed settings, I'd say 3ghz processor 2 gb ram and radeon x1950xtx (or similar).
