I live in Cornwall, the very South West of England. It's the country side alright, it's not for everyone. I'll prefer to live in a city myself. But, I step outside my house and take a picture with my mobile, I see this. I have a feeling your looking for the more British Urban environment. I suggest Nottingham or Cardiff. It's not blow your head off like London, but they're beautiful cities with everything you could ever want.

I don't really support teams in any other leagues but have always had a soft-spot for Bayern Munich.

NFL just seems to me like a more boring version of rubgy, and I just couldn't see it ever being popular in Europe given how huge football is.

Untrue. It's actually because only care about making money(which is understandable really) and therefore won't put the resources into making a good PC version of the game.
