as you could be running an 3DFX Voodoo5 6000 From AGP 2X Adaptor from one of ur PCI-E lane and Get High CPU SCORE that doesn't affect the cpu rendering part of any game / Application : the gpu would slow you down ur gaming experience for sure as it normal even when it involve of what you guy would call a weak cpu like Intel Core 2 duo E4400 or Athleon 64 bit X2 low Frequency model

But While it True that in example an Athelon II X4 640 3.0Ghz with 2X GTX 480 will run gaming Performances slower then a i5 2500 3.3Ghz with 2X GTX 480 it doesn't mean the GPU are getting Bottleneck Because the Processor is Stronger and giving like +10-30 Frame when the game are already like 40-50FPS all ultra

I could try and make more detailed Analyse based on more then a Basic Experience by Swapping my GTX 570 GPU From my Previous E8600 to i5 2500K stock : but as also overclocked my cpu i noticed even bigger performances in gaming specially in BF3 / Skyrim / Starcraft 2 / Metro 2033 / Just cause 2 /

But it Very Likely a Bottleneck would occur with like an Am2+ Athelon 4600x2 & 2X GTX 580 or Q6600 with 2X GTX 580 while it wouldn't happen with most cpu sold under Athelon II / Phenom II/ i3,i5,i7

Anyway you guy can argue about Synonym of a word as long you can it doesn't change the fact that even a 10 Year old GPU VGA plug via PCI-E TO AGP Adaptor wouldn't Do Any Bottleneck to the CPU performances : but perhaps the game would Crash / Refuse to work on Window 7 or at higher then 1024x780 but hey ur running something mean to run at those resolution lol

an 3DFX Voodoo5 6000 (A3700) which is an AGP 2X As far i know it ran fine the 3Dmark 2001 Benchmark Second edition For Both E8400 / i5 2600K Stock CPU clockrate with the AGP GPU and that with the i7 2600k It given +606 SCORE then with the E8400 showing that it LIKELY impossible scenario for a GPU TO BOTTLENECK A CPU

Even though TC asked if the GPU was bottlenecking the CPU, we aren't talking about that, we are talking about the GPU bottlenecking the system because that is actually what he meant.

Actually I was asking if the GPU was bottlenecking the CPU,not the GPU bottlenecking the system.

I bought a sh*tty brand laptop cooler 2 years ago and it worked well because not only did the fans cool it but if you ever needed to put it on your lap or on a easily heatable material then it gets in the way so you are always on a smooth cooling surface.

Instead of trying to sell it on ebay i would try to look for someone you know or your family knows that is looking to get a new pc and that way its a win win for both you and the buyer.

The real problem here is that you have a Mac.
