GH4 instruments will work with RB2, and vice versa. As for the quality of the instruments themselves, I can only comment on the guitar as I haven't gotten anything else for GH: WT yet, but I definitely prefer GH's guitars over Rock Band's anyday.

It's probably really odd playing RB with the GH drums, though, seeing as the setup is completely different. The microphone, I would assume, is pretty much the same.

It's a great game in my opinion, and you'll definitely get more than your money's worth. If you like Castlevania, go for it!

Though, Order of Ecclesia comes out soon, so you may just want to save it for that.
