It's because of the shortage. God darnit, the Wii shortage is on BBC, CNN and the same in at least Norway and Sweden. At once someone sees a Wii, they think "this is my only change" and buys it.

X360 is doing a lot better than XB did at the same time.

The handhelds usually last long, the original GB was for 9 years I believe (89-98) because they redisigned just like with the DS.

Colour and Advance lasted for 3-4 years both, and the DS lite has only been out for 1,5 years, so it should have minimum 2 years left I think.
