Most definitely. Games are developed on PCs which makes it work flawlessly for the 360, which is just another form of PC. The PS3 receives the "port", as extra compiling, libraries, etc have to be setup to make the game work for the PS3. I think this will be the trend moving forward as it's too costly to go the reverse route of building games on the odd PS3 platform & then moving them to PCs. It doesn't work very well. 360 gets more DLC too, as other threads have indicated, so you'll be shortening the amount of content you can squeeze out of game.

...trust the unbiased opinion and look over articles about capcom saying themselves that both versions will be similar...
Well, what did you expect them to say? I don't recall Bethesda saying that the PS3 version of Fallout3 was going to be inferior...yet we know how that turned out....
there's an article where capcom themselves say the game will be identicle when it comes out...bethesda never once mentioned or even showcased the ps3 version of fallout 3...
Ok first off, Total War is a good series from good devs. Kilzone 2 is garbage from garbage developers. No-one cares about killzone 2 cows because people like games with more to them than graphics Secondly Halo Wars is destined to be crap and a flop. Ensemble are well past their prime and none of the young kids who play Halo are going to sit down for an RTS, and a console RTS can never be as good as a PC RTS thanks to your inferior controls I dont think ensemble will give it 100% either given that they were recently closed downMarloStanfield
you haven't played the killzone 2 beta and the gameplay is far from garbage....i'm in the beta and can easily tell you i'll be playing this game for a long time online is addicting like cod4 and team fortress....if you call killzone 2 gameplay garbage you might as well call every other fps including half life garbage...my money's on killzone 2 for now...once i get a better pc then empire total war will be on my list
[QUOTE="DeathScape666"]Before I get a PS3 this holiday season, I need to know if the PS3 version of Resident Evil 5 will suffer in the same way Skate, Madden NFL 2008, Assassin's Creed, Fallout 3, and a lot of other multiplatform games have. Does anyone know at all? And will the 360 get any downloadble content (DLC)? Or any bonus features?jknight5422

he wasn't asking about the other games, he was asking solely about resident evil 5...trust the unbiased opinion and look over articles about capcom saying themselves that both versions will be similar...and don't worry about DLC its just a gimmick this generation that ps3 owners don't really care about...
I am not a 100% sure on this but I think I heard the 360 has exclusive DLC.russdmoore
um i think you mean the japanese exlusive demo on the 360 which is just a rumor...and to TC capcom themselves said it will run perfectly similar, and judging by their track record with devil may cry i trust em...
Well, I have both and I honestly can't say the 360 has offered me a better gaming experience. I guess people have minds of their own and don't care about Gamespot scores.Floppy_Jim
well i have both the 360 and ps3 and i feel the ps3 has offered me the better gaming experience...but hey you live in the US i live in Asia so i guess gamers here and there are accustomed to what console is more dominant in their region
he is absolutley right about the controllers.lespaul1919
um no...its just a preference, just like the ps3 dualshock controller is a prefrence for me...and if this guy actually thought about speaking from his head instead of his ass then he wouldn't have used exclusive games as examples...How the F*** are you supposed to know how halo 3 or gears of war would play like on a ps3 controller...for me its like this....
fighting games; ps3 controller
racing games; xbox 360 controller
shooting games; xbox 360 equal
sport games; ps3 controller
action/adventure; ps3 controller
platformers; ps3 controller
and saying the 360 controller looks more masculine is retarded...they are the same size...give or take they just weigh differently...i guess lemmings have bigger fat hands than cows lol
[QUOTE="SolidGame_basic"][QUOTE="AHUGECAT"]Xbox 360 won the war before Netflix. They won the war the moment Kaz said "$599."AHUGECAT
It cost $850 to make that console. It had to wait to standardize before prices dropped. There were also people willing to pay that much for it anyway. What about all those people paying $500+ when the Wii came out? And yet in its second year, it's already outselling the 360 at 1.5x the price. People still believe in Sony, and next year's price drop will smatter whatever 360 has left.
No one believes in Sony anymore. They lost too many exclusives and Sony's games aren't doing any damage (R2 and LBP both flopped commercially). PS3's main advantage was Blu-ray but Netflix owns it.
Sony's 2009 line up looks like flop after flop. Not necessarily critically, but commercially.
dude seriously stop talking out of your a**...same goes with TC...the ps3 has sold about 17 million, and the 360 has sold about 23 million, war ain't over for another 2 years...and sony can manage to turn the tides...and seriously don't be so naive to say R2 and lbp haven't sold well...u as well as everyone else are basing it off of american-only charts that aren't even reliable...shame
[QUOTE="gearsgamer69"]Why would Sony abandon making consoles... The PS2 is the best selling console of all time & I'm assuming was high profitable for them. PS3 isn't dead, and will pick up over time...Articles like this are not hard to come by, and a lot of people like me can't help but wonder just how much money Sony will have to lose on the Playstation 3 and the company as a whole before they start realizing it's just easier and more financially feasible for them to just abandon console manufacturing and make games, much like Sega did.
Before you know it they'll be following Circuit City into bankruptcy.

i agree to the above post...and yeah the TC doesn't realize that sony's gaming division is the main source of profit...they've been getting more and more profits this year, so for sony...2008 was the year for THEM...and to compare it to circuit city is just ignorant and naive...the gaming division isn't sony's only source of profit...i hope to God sony never abandons the gaming market...same with nintendo and MS...these three game companies know how good the industry's becoming...
Everyone that owns a xbox360 with a gold membership and is NOT BIASED against it, knows that PSN will never rival XBL. End of story.AlexDemise
but at what price must it cost to keep XBL better?...don't get me wrong its a BIT better...but why the **** should i pay for a gold membership when i can play on PSN for free...god damn ppl aren't made of money you know...
