@p3rrypm: The batman games were great, but I personally liked the tone/feel of this game a bit more. I thought they did a good job expanding on the combat system as well.

@chillingnaire: There is a lot of other content beyond the core story. Granted, not all of it is interesting, but I got an enjoyable 40 or so hours out of this game... 8 to 10 hours sure seems quick.

@chillingnaire: I would agree, the hype train takes it's toll. And in hindsight, I'm admit I was probably abit overzealous in saying it's a 10. It was a really fun playthrough.

@chillingnaire: I've played all of them. :) It's a close 10 for me. I can't speak from anyone else's point of view, of course. It was a really fun video game.

@Jasurim: I had your initial impression too- but once you start getting into the meat of the story things pick up a lot. Now that I've gotten into the thick of the story it's become quite good and interesting.

This game has been such a blast to play. Really close to a 10 for me. A lot of effort went into this game, and it shows. It also has some of the best dialog (overall) I've seen in a game, not counting the reptitive quips.

@fridaywaits: Ironically, every person that has come over while I've been playing this game has commented on how amazing the game looks. Are you going off stills, or have you watched the game in motion? The graphics aren't photo realistic, they are a bit more stylized (like GTA) - and there is great attention to detail. But I agree that viewing the game as stills might not be impressive. But it's in motion that the games beauty shows. The animation is incredible- at first glance the character models aren't that impressive, but once you start appreciateing the level of detail and nuance in the character animations - especially the facial expressions, its astounding. I would go as far as to say this game has some of the best animation I've seen.

I"m really digging this game.

@darkranger23: Oh for sure, you are right. In this case though, it's mostly written in modern styles (I think we would have too much trouble comprehending some things if it was truely written in old english style) and a lot of the errors were just simple proof reading mistakes..misspelled words, typos...
