So when are they going to review Tamriel Unlimited for Xbox One and PS4? Because what was written above has nothing to do with the game that came out on June 9th...

IGN did a separate review for ESOTU and gave it an 8...

I know that people love to hate on this game and that saying something positive basically exposes you to insults but here I go. I'm really loving this game! The social aspects that Destiny employs are really fun and addicting. There are many games out there that I don't care for, however I would never waste my time and life going to those game's forums and blasting those games and insulting the persons who play them. I really don't understand the benefit received by insulting Destiny and its players, especially when those players are having the time of their life actually playing the game.

Therefore the reason I'm posting this is because I would imagine that there are people sitting on the fence about the game and if their judging by all the hateful comments they may pass up on a really amazing gaming experience.

If you are one of those on the fence folks, there are a few things you should know:

-There is a demo available (if people discourage you from trying a free demo then they're just plain dishonest)

-This game is AMAZING with friends and encourages coop through the entire experience

-The game has the best FPS mechanics of any other present shooter (that means the controls are spot on), this is why even the negative official reviewers say its fun to actually play the game (ie, shooting, jumping, etc).

-The game is about ranking up.....Plain and simple (ranking guns, armor and character level). All the comments about the lack of a good story are basically true, but that does't mean you don't have an incentive to play. The ranking up pushes you to go on and the good gameplay mechanics makes that experience fun. (I don't know if this will help but it sorta reminds me of PGR2; in that game the ranking system compelled you to keep playing through the whole night and the driving mechanics made those all-night experiences fun).

-Destiny gets supper fun once you rank up to open the Nightfalls and Raids (level 26 -32) which will take a while if you're new to the game.

If you are on the fence and want to hear the cons from others who didn't like the game, I would only trust those reviews that don't use insults and hatred to make their points. Those who come here only to be offensive have some other sorted agenda... Check out the demo and enjoy for yourself...

Cheers

I noticed that different people have different views about Destiny. I personally don't think that it should have gotten a 6 when other games that it surpasses by leaps and bounds get much higher scores. But the main paint I came here to make is that whereas the community all have their own views about the game, it seems Gamespot staff are not allowed to express their personal views about the game if it goes against the official review (which is pretty messed up if we're supposed to trust their opinions.).

How is it that with such a controversial game, all of Gamespot staff are in 100% agreement with the review? How are we supposed to trust the opinions of people who are not allowed to express those opinions if it goes against the corporate opinion? If there was at least one GS staffer who came out and said "I believe this game deserves a 7 or an 8" then that would show they are free to express their sincere thoughts. But the fact that they can be all on one accord when the community itself is so divided makes it seem as if they are not allowed to express their true feelings if it conflicts with an official review, which again, defeats the whole purpose of valuing their opinion...

Just a thought...
