Another year and another year older. Somehow I don't feel any different at all. That is all. (My friends were awesome and got me the CSI entomology kit. How coolness is that?)

I had a five day weekend. I finally saw Pirates. It rocked!!! The end though, they shouldn't have made it like there could be another one. I also saw Spiderman 3. It was the worst movie pretty much ever. Never go and see it. EVER. I sat there and couldn't stop laughing even when people were dying.

23 days to Canada. YAY!!!

Anyone out there who wants to help me? Anyone at all...? It's an English research assignment about the language of fandom, with a particular mention about the language of CSI fandom.

It's really quite simple. All you have to do is either leave a comment here or PM me (but leave a comment here as well because I have to have a viewable log that you helped or something stupid like that...) all you know about fandom. This could be as simple as your definition of fandom (which I need, I've found no good ones) to definitions about fanfic, canon, fanon, etc. It could also be as simple as what all the acronyms mean (eg. TPTB) and if someone could come out and say that episode titles are abbreviated that would be most helpful. CSI fandom examples are most welcome because that's what I'm looking at in particular. Eg. GSR, Grillows, and so on and so forth. Thanks for the help!!!!

If you don't comment I will PM you anyway, especially the more original GSR club members who will remember all the original in jokes. Um...that's about it really.

In other news I have a five day weekend. I'm going to see Pirates. YAY!!! Then I'll probably go and see it again because for once I'm going in to town twice in one week. I also have plans to get my learners which I am yet to do. I could have gotten it nearly two years ago but still I procrastinate.

I haven't been here in a long time so hello to all!!!! Life has been busy and I haven't really had time to come on here but with all the CSI finale-ness I thought I'd better make an effort for at least the time being.

I'm sure so much has been said about the finale and there probably isn't anything more I can say about it. The entire season was great (with the exception of LH) and I have been blown away with its grandness. I don't know if it was canon that made it great or if it was the plot but whatever it was this season needs a standing ovation. *gets up and begins to clap*

The site has changed since I've been here last and I'm well out-of-date with my Greg icon that I've had since I've been here. I think to be different I'll keep it but if anyone wants to make me a Greg icon that would be greatly appreciated.

Um...thought I'd write a quick blog for no reason. It would probably be easier to copy and paste the blog I did on LJ as the titles are the same but I can't be bothered to do that.

Yeah, nothing really to say. I am trying to limit the time I spend online and am filling my time with glorious books. 4 books in two days has got to be some kind of a record for me. I'm going to go back to more nothing though maybe find some lunch. Le sigh.

So like many others in this day and age it seems that "fic pimping" dans le blogs is "the cool thing". Not wanting to be uncool, I shall pimp the update of a fic that is still a WIP. I know I have a lot of other fics I haven't done anything with in months and months and months. I shall look at updating them over the holidays. I don't exactly have anything better to do with my time anyway...

In more than one way actually... The first success is the fact that I finally burnt all the CSIs episodes from season 7 onto DVD. I watched them again yesterday with my brother and he gave me a weird look when I laughed at witty Brass...:|

Second success shall be the fact that we finally got the blinds put in. YAY!!! I had the ugliest curtains and because we've got all the windows double glazed at last the blinds went in. I love blinds, especially when they're white and not ugly cactus style type things...:shock: Now I can finally look at painting my room.

My third and final success of this blog is I finally got my updated Norton working on my laptop. My Grandpa fixed it on my other computer when he was up but not on my laptop. Last night I got it working and managed to clear over 1.5 GB of junk off my hard drive. Now I can fill it up with more useless junk.

So today was my last day of school for the year. YAY!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D I'm rather excited not having the prospect of getting up at 6:30 every morning only to sleep my way through most classes. Last night was prize giving for my school and the guy talked about Doctor Who and Boston Legal. It took a lot of effort not to say "the Doctor and Rose forever!!!" I restrained myself however...:| It was very boring and I will not be going ever again. We had a speech from the CEO of World Vision and that was quite good I guess. Other than that it was boring.

Australia was tres cool. We went to Priscilla Queen of the Desert which is a musical based on a movie. It was hilarious. I had Starbucks for breakfast everyday. I choose to watch Click on the way over then on the way back I watched Dodgeball. I've seen Dodgeball about 5 times but it still amuses me. I also found a book I had been looking for for two years. It's a Star Trek New Frontier novel called Cold Wars and I read it in two days. YAY for Star Trek!!!

While we were in Australia there was the James Bond premiere in Sydney. We were walking to somewhere, can't remember where, and there were all these cops around. There were people standing behind a barrier so I stood with them but got bored awfully fast and left. I'll probably go see the movie this weekend for something to do...

So yesterday some of my friends needed to go find a teacher and they found themselves in the library for some reason. I was in a class with some other people and they came running back in saying there was a lady wearing a CSI t-shirt. We dashed to the library and I started talking to her about CSI. She was nice and her favourite character is Grissom. Pretty much about covers the last week of my life. YAY for new CSI tonight!!!!

Actually I finished my novel last Sunday but I haven't really had time to write a blog because I've been a blob for since I finished my exams. I don't think that I'll look at it for a couple of weeks as I don't really even like to open Word at the moment. At least that's done!!

I finished exams on Tuesday. I finished off my exams with History and Science. Total number of exams where I mentioned CSI: 2, French and English. Total exams I failed: at least 3. I'm going to say I failed the NZ topic in History (as we never learnt it in class), Skills in Geography, and something in English, most likely Formal writing because that's where I talked about CSI for an entire paragraph...:|

Since I finished my exams I have watched CSI, a Very Muppet Christmas Movie, the Interpreter, and some other random stuff. I also went shopping for shoes because I felt like getting some new shoes. I went to Starbucks today with a friend and got a delicious gingerbread latte. YAY for Starbucks!!!

Tomorrow I'm off to Australia where I will shop, wear shorts and not get cold, and avoid pictures which my mother finds "a pleasant way to remember holidays", drink iced tea which is actually sold in Australia, and generally do nothing... I shall be seeing you in 4 days.

So when I stopped being around here all those many months ago I applied to go to this science camp thing down at one of the universities in the country. Now I hadn't heard from them for months so figured that I hadn't gotten into the program. Today the mail cam as it always does and what was included in this bundle of usual boring things, a letter from the university!!! I got accepted into the physics program!!!!!! Yeah, I'm kinda excited about that. A week away from home, being a geek, and doing science things YAY!! For once I have something look forward to about summer.

Only 3 more exams left: Chemistry, Science, and History. The good thing is I don't care about those ones because I could probably pass without studying. YAY for not really caring anymore!!!

As for exams that I've had though...Meh... English wasn't all that good, French I actually knew all the vocab, Geography I probably failed something, and math, math was :|. As long as I achieve graphs I'll be happy.

So I'm sitting typing this, listening to some S Club 7, and already have last nights CSI episode to watch tonight (that's the shock, for once my internet actually works). I'm looking forward to watching it!! It looks like quite a good episode. So does next weeks though, Roger Daltrey, le swoon!! I love The Who (well only because of the CSI theme tune but I brought a CD and like all of their songs)!!!

My novel is becoming increasing difficult with each passing day. Last night I think I wrote 800 words. I was hoping to finish it (if I was lucky and kept up the pace of writing 3000 words a day) next weekend. But I am plagued by bad luck so that's not going to be happening anytime soon unless I sit down tonight and write a whole bunch of stuff that doesn't even make sense. Oh well, I should still be on track to finish by the end of the month. I think I'm at 39ish,000 words. YAY for actually doing something in my life!!!

My exams start on Tuesday. :| Haven't really done any study at all except for a couple of meetings with some of my teachers to explain some stuff. I spent Thursday in the library talking to people and one of my friends borrowed the essay which I got excellence on because it "sounded smart". She then used my ideas and handed it to our english teacher who gave her a merit for it. According to my friend (who I saw again on Friday) the teacher thought I did a similar theme analysis (nooooooo...) and she didn't agree with it. She doesn't agree that the world is a predatory place (theme I use for Of Mice and Men. I got it off the internet so it must be right...

Um... I was going to say something else but I can't remember. The countdown to Australia begins. Only two weeks left!!!!!:D:D YAY for good shopping!!!
