Unravel is one one of the five games that I'm looking forward to this year.

Dante's Inferno.. this game had me thinking about death some much that I had to stop playing it.
@finalstar2007: Oh, thank you. That was one of the two gripes I had with Decades Duel. That and microtransactions which influenced me to stay off of multiplayer.
Did the Yu-Gi-Oh games ever get rid of those annoying pop-ups that asked if you wanted to "activate this spell card" after every little thing you did?
@SpinoRaptor24: I haven't looked into any of the games you mentioned. So, I can't comment on those.
However, I feel the same way you do. Judging from the gameplay I saw of Mafia 3, Quantum Break, and Uncharted 4 etc, we should expect tons more of cinematic games with mediocre gameplay heading into 2016. This is the reason I have my hopes up for maybe 5 games this year.
I was stuck between Open Platform, Modding and Backwards Compatibility. I went with the later. The PC's backwards capability is its biggest selling point for me, personally. If I wanted to have a Nostalgia Rush, all I have to do is play some emulators or search through Steam and I'll find what I'm looking for, as opposed to buying multiple consoles because every game I want isn't compatible with them.
@aigis: Yeah, I won't skip them as long as they're interesting, but relying on cutscenes for 100% of the story progress takes away from the actual game.
[MGS1 SPOILER ALERT]:
@aigis:
I like that example, however, this goes back to why cutscenes should never be mandatory. That scene didn't add anything to the game, but Sniper Wolf's backstory and a few things in that scene could've easily been incorporated into the gameplay. Okay, picture this:
(Skipable) Cutscene: Snake and Sniper Wolf's Conversation
After Cutscene (Gameplay): Sniper Wolf tells you to kill her and you could shoot her whenever you're ready, you could wait to see what Octagon has to say first, or continue with your mission. If you do decide to shoot her, it'll do the same flash effect, then Snake would place the handkerchief over her face, and walk away like before, except it becomes more interactive and the player gets his way, no matter who it is.
TL;DR: Cutscenes are good for extras, but they should always be optional. Leave the important bits in the gameplay and nothing will be compromised.
Meh, if it's anything like the first Watch Dogs, I'll keep my money.
No hype here. We don't know anything about the game. The only thing CA Studios showed us was a CGI trailer and left us with zero gameplay to comment on.
