I think it should use the GC and Classic Controller mainly because the button configuration those controllers have are optimal for the game. Besides....if you had to use motion sensing of the sort, it would ruin the fast pace, animal instinct crazy fighting style of the entire game.
I dont want to wave my arms around, worry if it responded, or being screwed over if it didnt respond for whatever reason (unless theyre absoloutely confident it will never happen. In all seriousness, seeing as how the Wii is handling responsivity and controls for certain games, they'd have to make it that shaking one stick ANY DIRECTION did the same thing [like shaking the nunckuck did your B attack while you hold down a direction on the control stick] otherwise the motion controls wouldnt work [and something like that is a possibility, but i wouldnt find it suitable for the gamestyle which Super Smash Bros. has apprehended with its age) I would find it fitting to keep a button configuration for such a game due to style and pace the game is based on.
The Wii mote and nunchuck wouldnt add much value to the game unless down at Nintendo they have come up with a thrilling idea. Alternatively, they could have some sort of new motion based control scheme with the option to switch to button congiuration via Classic ctrl or GC ctrl....we'll see huh?
