I picked up a PS3 recently, and with it I ran through both Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Both amazing games, with the first being one of the best games I have ever played ( and an exclusive ), and the second being an amazing remastering of a great game. Well, my next move after beating NGS Friday night was to rip open the plastic cover of MGS4, so I could experience the highly acclaimed AAAAE. After having beaten the 2 of the 5 acts, I am appauled. MGS4 is not a video game. MGS4 is a extremely long movie, that has a few minigames in it. I am 100% honest when I say this. The gameplay isn't even good... it is actually worse then it's predecessors! First of all, stealth is not even hard. You literally just run past to the next area, and if there are people in your way, just pick them off with anesthetic shots. I haven't even used any med kits yet... because there is no reason! You regain your health at the nearest checkpoint, and checkpoints are frequent! Seriously... this is a disgrace. I honestly thought GTA4 was the biggest over-hyped and over-rated game of this generation, but I think MGS4 truely takes the cake.
Earthbound is a popular series that I hope many people here are familiar with. Also refered to as the Mother series, this game holds a special place in the hearts of many gamers. The kicker is, this game is going to focus more on the lead character, and apparently it will not be called Mother or Earthbound. Any takers on what the new name may be?
You make some very good points, and I would not put this past Nintendo. They are not a stupid company, and their President has already acknoledged that the Wii has lost a lot of steam going forward. A really powerful console being released in 2011 would make a lot of sense, especially when they are riding the wave of success that the Wii has. Bare in mind, that Nintendo has a crap load of money in it's coffers. They can afford to take this calculated risk, especially if they offer backwards compatibility.
My buddy bought Operation Flashpoint for the 360 roughly a month ago... and he is a big fan of it dispite the numerious bugs in the game. He is one level away from beating the game on it's hardest difficulty. I thought it was quite interesting how much he liked it, considering it got a 7.5 on gamespot. However, today he wanted to show me one of the levels on youtube, which was clearly from the PC version. The game looked amazing... then I read that Intel had helped max out the PC version... well, I come to this site and there is no review for it. Wut da hell man?

IW are a bunch of tools. I was so excited for this game when I first saw the trailer. Now, I don't even care its even coming out, despite it being a week out.
