I've been having trouble deciding upon which video card to purchase for my desktop. I'm on a budget and I don't play much games. Some of the morerecent games I play on my notebook with integrated graphics (geforce 6150) are Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. I also mess around in Photoshop elements 2.0 and soon Animation: Master (3d animation/modeling app).

The only thing I require the video card to have is support for DVI-I or HDMI because I plan on using my Sharp Aquos HDTV has my computer monitor. The card also has to be a PCI express (x16) card, and must be below $80. Obviously, I'm not looking for something that will play at max resolutions or max settings, but I want a decent card that shows a crisp/sharp image. I would want a video card that would surely do me more justice than the integrated geforce 6150 graphic chip in my notebook. Also, I don't care whether the card is from nvidia or ati. Both seem pretty good in my opinion.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles isn't even out yet. In addition, the game offers a completely different playing experience. For a better comparision wait until Resident Evil 5 is released, then you can ask the question "Resident Evil 4 vs. Resident Evil 5."

Yeah could be a hint as to the next zelda game. An expanded inventory of weapons. Crossbow could make some interesting gameplay mechanics such as the hookshot being combined with it. meimnobody

I think nintendo will save that idea for "Link's Fishing training"

My notebook is my "personal" computer. How does this not make sense?

Thanks, I'll be sure to check those out. Also, would it be vital to add another gig of ram? The integrated graphics steals memory from the main board, thus decreasing down to 980MB or something like that.

On the topic of integrated graphics, I noticed in the BIOS I can set the VRAM to etheir 32MB, 64MB, or 128MB. Which setting should I choose? Should I wait until I add more ram?

What are some of the top modern PC games that aren't too demanding and would perform decently on my HP notebook? All I have is an AMD Turion 64 X2 (1.6Ghz) CPU, 1 gig, and a geforce go 6150 256MB graphics chip.

I don't care which genre it is. I'm willing to play First person shooters, real time strategies, etc. Also, I'm not a big PC gamer. The only games I've played on my current notebook are; Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and Black & White.

it's so tough. I got my laptop for my b-day last year. The desktop was given to me for free. I just want to play Half-Life 2- that game was so fun. Played demo.
