I think my PS3 killed my 360. They sat next each other in an open but somewhat confined area for about 3 months. In that time, I never once touched my 360. Then, a couple weeks ago I wanted to play dead rising and boom, 3 red lights. The PS3 blows out an awful lot of heat....coratel

Ouch that sucks !!!

Let me say that I was a big fan of the comic and I think that the developers did a great job to bring it to digital life !!

HOWEVER ... if I go to a car dealer and I see two models of the same car but one does not have AC, premium sounds sun roof and alloy rims it should cost less .. doesn't it ?

Would it make sense for a company to sell a game at cheaper price on a console if not all the features of the concurrent console are there ? I know it sounds absurd ... and never on earth something like this will happen ... but it really frustrates me that 90% "technicaly ported" game cost 100% of the price ....

Peace

I had some time to kill last weekend in between some fragging at R6Vegas. I downloaded the Darkness Demo for both system I own (360 and PS3) and with my great surprise the 360 version looked better ... there was antialias and the colors even if undersaturated appealed me more then the brighter colors on the PS3 version. Frameratewise I think also the 360 was a little better .. but just slightly. Also 360 had motion blur when turning around.

I am really puzzled that developers were not able to add these features on the PS3 version .. and I am sure we are not talking about hardware limitation. Since no HDR is in place (as far as I know) RSX should deliver some AA .... no ?

So in a nutshell does anybody know where I can find a link where the developers of this great game speak their mind on the approach they took to develop this game for both consoles and why the PS3 version has these slight but noticeable limitations ?

Thanks so much for your help.

Peace.

We don't need to hire a secret service agent to show the world that I do actually own both consoles (I am not sold on the WII yet and I don't think I am going to buy one). I will post some pics of my 360 and PS3 kissing and making love in the cabinet underneath my AQUOS 1080p LCD Screen. By now hopefully my 360 sig works .. the service was down or something like that ...

I'm calling fakeboy. I own all three consoles and wouldn't make a thread bashing one to such a degree.... and if you have both why only put your PSN ID in your sig?

No dice.

Ninja-Vox

Sorry Dude .. let me see if I can fix my sig .. since for some reason the 360 one doesn't pop up ... maybe is broken as well . ehehe .. no seriously .. I didn't mean to be harsh or anything like that. I love the 360 and I bought it at launch time, but lot of (potentialy) bad things are rolling down the hill for M$, and I am just stating facts.

Peace and Viva Halo 3 / Mass Effect / Ace Combat 6 !!!

When u spend $600 for an hightech piece of hardware that "could" break (after all hardware is hardware and it could break for any reason) I am sure u want to deal with it like it is ur first born child !!! ... As of now I can assure you that except for a couple of times my PS3 froze when playing Motorstorm I didn't get any major issue (I am sure the freezing stuff is due to buggy code). I do live in the bay area and the temperture can get pretty hot .. but even if .. my PS3 is just doing fine. :)

Check your disks. Do they have scrathes? I've played at least a one hundred hours of Motoorstorm Online. Not a single scratch on the disk.Spartan8907

The noise comes from the 360 DVD player not the PS3 blueray player .... :P

After all these news of 360 breaking left and right (http://kotaku.com/gaming/xbox-360/another-one-bites-the-dust-281244.php) I am glad to report that mine is doing great thank to the fact that once I bought a PS3 I am not touching it anymore. Actually this is not true ... I have been downloading some Demos from LIVE and tried them out. The news of people going through 2-3 or even 11 of these things is really scary and I really do hope that M$ will dump the manufacturing company that they hired to put the 360 together because they are becoming the joke of this generation of the video games era.

I don't want to be flamed at all ... but since I have heard the new of all these consoles breaking, I do pay more attention to the noises coming from the 360 then to the actual game that am playing, moreover as a matter of fact the DVD drive is making a squicking noise when I start a game ... thing that it was not doing before. It is too bad that in order to cut costs and declare the 360 "inexpensive" compared to the PS3, Microsoft is now facing such a tremendous repercussion in terms of loses and, most importantly, of image.

I hope they will put their act together and come out with a permanent fix for this potentially fantastic piece of hardware.

Peace
