I maybe be a fan of Nintendo and the Wii, but I am not loyal to a fault. I play any and everything. Lately, the PS3 and 360 fans have been flaming each other via "Halo 3's graphicS Suxx!!!" or better yet "GeArs of WaRs has SUXAFUDF graPhiCs OmG!!!" Well, I must prostest against such stupidity:
Gears of War has the best graphicsĀ of any game, pc or not, currently. It maybe short, but it still holds this title. It may not look, to some of you, "prettyfull," but that is because it is trying to convey the feeling of war, not of pretty flowers in the summer breeze.
Secondly, Halo 3. Tell me, how does a game's graphic's suck, IF IT IS NOT EVEN NEAR TO BEINGĀ RELEASED? Don't have such lofty expectations. With Zelda: Twilight Princess, everyone gotso worked up, thinking of things like an ending were Link dies, or evironments that would take up to 45 hrs to explore, etc. What did they get? One of the best games of 2006. Not their lofty goals:best game ever made. Even Halo 3 should not be hyped to this level. How will you ever have fun playing the game, if you are too concerned with the little graphical problems. I loved Zelda :TP (never played Oot) and managed to bring myself back to reality, not the hype. Can one do that with Halo 3? If you can, hype it all you want, just remember this is a formula being reused for a third time, and has a chance of floping. Don't overhype.
Good post. Again, the past is the key to the future. With PS3, we have the fututre of the past:PS2. With Xbox360, we have its past:xbox. Such parallels can be drawn from history, an idea I have been pushing (futilely) on these boards. I must add to this topic in saying that, in history, the Wii has no parallel. There has never been a console like it in history, so we have no parallels to draw on, and must predict how it will do. O and to add, I don't go by what gamespot says. SSBM may be AA in gamespot, but its still selling even after the gamecube has died and its the best sellingĀ game on that console. Gamespot's word is not law, and thats that.
