Well I thought I might toss my rig into the mix. This is actually my brand new build from the last few weeks since my last tower got thrown out the window of my of my suv as I was flipping down a 30ft ditch due to snow and ice on the road. Wasnt a fun time since I had just put $350 into it 2 days before. The blue apevia tower is my old "pancake" and obviously the nzxt being the new. Tell me what you think. Well I cant seem to get my photos to post? Anybody got any ideas? I have them on my account page though and I have posted photos before. the uploaded file keeps breaking...

if your set on Nvidia then get the 8800's before a 9400. 8800's were best thing nvidia had till the 285/295 came out

4770's for 79.99 a guy hit 30,000 on 3dmark with them crossfired. Doubt you can get 30k on any other graphics card or cards for $160 I might be wrong but doubt it.

clean system means more air, cable management means more air, more air means more POWER! With OCing MB runs at 27-28C under use and, CPU is around 34C under normal use, tops out about 45C during gaming MW2. GPU with BIG OC's runs about 42 under normal conditions and peaked at 51 during 2 hours of MW2. Those numbers are prob up there with water cooled systems LOL. Though I am running 7 fans 2x200mm, 1x230mm, CPU 120mm fan to 140mm exhaust fan, 2x60mm exhause fans next to video card. Like i said, I cant move any more air than I am now lol.

ASUS EAH4770 Formula running TOP BIOS w/Voltage tweak and OC (max temp recorded so far is 51C)

Phenom 9550 10% OC (didnt make it over 36C in benchmarking :D)

Just added Zalman 9700LED CPU Cooler love it stays around 27C when just playing around

1066 Ram should be here in next few days, build will be complete for a few days at least

Might go ahead and add the 2x60mm fans in the rear since they are there, but I dont think I can move much more air through this case its a beast!!

AMD Phenom X4 9550 (new cpu cooler be here this week will update photos)

M3A78-EM ASUS 780g mATX Motherboard (old case only supported mATX)

ATi ASUS EAH4770 Formula 512MB video card (Best video card for the dollar in the world IMO *11936 3DMarks without overclocking on a 512MB card lol)

WD 650g HDD

6GB RAM (upgrading ram to 4GB DDR2 PC2-8500 1066 this week)

Antec Basiq 550w modular PSU

Thermaltake Element G case

11936 3dMarks benchmark

(have cpu cooler and new ram coming in this week will update photos)

HDD rack is removable and can placed facing side or front. I chose front for the reason below This photo taken through the 60mm empty fan slot on back while running. Fan seen is front intake fan that pushes air across top of HDD to the video. No airflow restriction what so ever here. PSU is also enclose on bottom for added heat shielding for video card. Lets see the HAF do this hahahaha oh come on you guys trash talk Tt's every second of every day lol

Inside of case taken from rear of case while running

PSU w/cover

mobos

easy hdd access through the front. Two HDD's can be accessed under fan without removing fan.

HDD slots

Thermaltake Element G is not a tooless case, but pretty close. I would actually call it more of a thumb screw case (which uses your thumbs not a tool so still tooless ROFL) Most things are secured in this case with thumbscrews. Even my video card I put a thumb screw in. The HDD's use a special screw that you screw into HDD which then allows you to place HDD's into removable HDD rack tooless. Everything fits very snug. Not movement whatsoever from HDD's in rack or the rack itself. Very tight precise fits on this case. Cant say enough about it. Airflow is second to none. Being able to place HDD rack foward creates no restrictions and allows perfect airflow . heat shielded PSU which can also be used for watercooling mounting. Fans have 5 LED settings with 3 colors red, blue, and green.

Not sure about the Element V. The Element G is about .5-1.5" shorter than most Cooler Master Full size towers but its about .5" wider and up to 1.5 longer than the CM Full size. Its a monster mid-tower lol. If the V is tremendously bigger? its gonna have to be like a server on top of a midtower lol.

In this the entire rack (holds up to 7 HDD's comes out. No trays. You put 4 screws in the HDD and in slides into the rack and snaps into place. I will get some pics to see it better in next few days to show you what I mean. But, pretty much when you pull out the HDD rack, it gives you the ENTIRE bottom section of computer to work with. Pretty handy.
