The 'systems' of the game might not change much year-over-year, but I'd say the really GOOD CoD players are still plenty hardcore. Not the millions of cannon-fodder who have a negative K/D ratio that rank up by sheer amount of time invested though. So many bros... so many...
I'm used to waiting to upgrade my gaming gear until absolutely necessary. I'm operating on a budget... I haven't seen an exclusive yet (except maybe Destiny) that makes me feel that I can't live without one of these new consoles. PC Gaming for me.
Agree to disagree I guess :-) Yes it was at it's heart a pretty standard shooter, but the artistic design, story, and general ambiance of the game was special. The feeling of place that it evokes is awe-inspiring. Bioshock Infinite is deserving of all the praise it's getting.
I don't think mouse and keyboard will matter. Major developers will never drop the bros into the same game lobbies as mouse-and-keyboard wielding players. They'd get an inferiority complex and stop playing. Maybe go to the gym for good measure.
Pay $500 for an Xbox one so I can play at 720p @ 30 fps? No thanks :-) I'll just stick with my gaming PC. Haven't paid more than $10 for a game in ages!
Interesting concept and design, but the trackpads worry me. But it's about time a new design comes along. Controllers are largely the same as the PSOne days.
