@KidKupo @Sidiousnight @plaintomato Aaaand...Video Ram is pretty much critical on a game console I'd say. Here's a decent write up on it, just scroll down to "Xbox One vs Sony PS4 - GPU and RAM":
@KidKupo @plaintomato Also, word on the street for now is that the X1's operating system will eat up a lot more of the X1's RAM than the Sony OS will consume on the PS4.
I was leaning towards the X1, assuming Sony would more or less end up implementing a lot of the same crap MS was announcing. But...let me see now, the PS4 is:
More Powerful Not Region Locked Fully Functional Offline Supporting Lending/Trading/Used Open to Indies $100 Less on the Sticker
Hmmm, the choice is becoming, well, not hard. I've always liked MS's products, but its nice to see anti-consumer policies resulting in a beat-down from the competition. Sony is every bit as greedy as MS, as they should be, but at least Sony's greed is pointing them in a better direction for now.
@birdgang_1 @jts1891 Nah. The Wii U will still be a Nintendo product loaded with second tier Shovelware and first party repeaterations. Can't fix that.
But Sony has to be loving this. Question is...if Sony is also leaving it up to publishers to determine if there will be fees for used games, how do they monitor that if they don't require online checks, or an internet connection for game activation at the least? I wouldn't count your chickens just yet.
