Hi guys! I bought a p2370 samsung monitor and everything was running great. I decided to install the monitor drivers that come with the monitor and i realized that everytime i tried to view a photo (using the usual windows program) the image would have a yellowish appearence, but only with that software. This just appens with images viewd with the standard windows program. The videos look normal, the websites look normal, and if I view a picture in some website that, for example, has some white areas and I save it to my computer and then view it with the windows program, the white areas turn yellow :S I'm using two monitor, a p2370 and an old benq fp931. First the yellowish thing starts just with the benq monitor, and then "spreads" to the samsung one. I tried to restore the system and the problem goes away, but so do the drivers. So my question is, can I fix the yellowish problem or should I just unistall the drivers and use the monitor without them? Do the drivers really improve the image quality of a monitor?

[QUOTE="player587"][QUOTE="darx55"]Also,did you mean the card connector doesn't fit the Mobo?that means you have an agp slot,if not, read my other post.KurganUK23

it as a pci-express slot, it would fit there if it wasn't the stupid psu part (i'm sure it is a pci-e)

Disconnect the power pin then try fitting the gpu, if it goes in then your GPU is too big if it doesnt then its agp slot

i did that, it's a pci-e slot!!! lol

It sounds like he means its hitting the 20/24pin input from the PSU, think that means that card is too big for the system, doesnt sound like much of a problem with the case, but if in doubt take the mobo out and try to install the card thenKurganUK23
exactly, that's the piece, the 24 pin input.

[QUOTE="player587"]I bought a 9800gtx+ and tried to install it in a 2,5 year old hp desktop pc and realized that the gpu doesn't fit the motherboard! the gpu is so large that hits the plastic of the psu connector which is connected to the motherboard (the biggest connector off them all). Is this normal? have you guys ever experienced this? is it because the pc is somewhat old? do you recommend any solution? some kind of adapter that allows the gpu to be slightly dislocated so that it doesn't hit that motherboard/psu part?darx55
Get a bigger case and you'll be fine,or,send back the card and get a different one(smaller of course, check that before buying).

getting a bigger case wont help beacuse the gpu hits a part of the motherboard wich is the psu connector, i can't brake the motherboard or just leave it unpluged

[QUOTE="player587"][QUOTE="player587"] i lowered all the settings and the resolution to minimum and i got kind of the same frame rate, i guess you're right... Captain__Tripps
i tried with assassins creed

AC is not the most optimized port, and WiC I believe is fairly CPU heavy too... The better gfx card probably will help with less CPU demanding titles, but you need a new one regardless.

thanks for the help, but what about the awfull performance with froggy demo? it's suposed to be optimized to nvidia cards and should not be cpu demanding since it's purpose is to show off the gpu capabilitys right? i tried the geoforms demo and it works fine with all maxed out, better than before.

[QUOTE="Captain__Tripps"][QUOTE="player587"] why does that matter? it will probably increase. right now i can't test thatplayer587
That is supposed to tell you what your maximum frame rate would be able to be. IE You will be CPU limited. If your still at 20fps, your graphics card isn't going to help increase FPS, only keep the same fps at greater res/settings. That is my understanding anyway...
