I received my first friend on Gamespot the other day. For the longest time, I didn't even know how to obtain a friend, and now I have two. Not that it's the greatest thing in the world, but I do feel accomplished somehow. If you can't tell, I'm really getting a kick out of this online community. I've also been a little bit more active in regards to making forum posts also. I think over the course of the last few weeks, I'v probably spent more time here online than actually playing any games. Speaking of which, I really need to finish up Prince of Persia and Black (again) b/c I am kinda anxious to start playing Dragon Quest VIII. I might even play Resident Evil 4 afterwards also, who knows. I just know that I should hopefully have the time this weekend to finish up both PoP and Black.

Ok... Maybe I was a lil too harsh (just a little)

Previously, I had said that the PSP was a terrible machine and I was so adamant about it. However, after a conversation with a peer, I have given the PSP another chance and ironically, my stance has changed a little. I recently rented some of the highest rated games that the PSP has to offer (4 example, Daxter and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops) and... I no longer think that the PSP is crappy machine, I just think it has crappy software. These top rated games may be good when it is compared to other portable games on the same system, but if that's the case, it really speaks volumes to the rest of Sony's library.
Don't get me wrong, these are decent titles, but for Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear, and [Jak &] Daxter to have a storied history when it comes to excellence on the PS2, and for their little cousins to be "average" games on the PSP more than concerns me a little.
If there's anything else that has changed about my view other than the system "might" not be that bad if it had some decent software to support the system would be the fact that my hands don't feel like they are PMS'ing anymore. Other than that, I stick by everything else I've said LOL!
Why the PSP S-u-c-k-s

The PSP sucks and here are 5 Reasons:
5. To Have or Not to Have... Plz pick a design scheme. Either have analog sticks or don't. Why in the world would Sony just include one analog stick.
4. I really think I might be PMS'ing... I now know what women go thru once a month. My hand has cramped more in the hour or two of playing the PSP this week than in the first 27 years of my life.
3. My 2.5" Widescreen Home entertainment System... Movies, Music, Games, Internet... all on one portable device? Wow! Sounds great, if it hasn't already been done better before. Ipod has the music on lock, PDAs have the internet on lock. Movies... Walmart has some really inexpensive portable DVD players, and the DS has better games. It's nice that Sony wants a machine that will do everything all at once, it's just sad that it sucks while doing it. Sony should have just focused in one area, that way they would have a better chance of succeeding instead of a overpriced mess.
2. Unidentified Missing Disc (UMD) ... Has anyone noticed that UMDs aren't being made anymore. Let's just hope Blu-Ray doesn't suffer the same fate.
1. I-De-clare-War ... Are you serious? I haven't played a card game since Go-Fish in Kindegarten that did not include a minimum bet and red casino chips. How did a video game icon such as Solid Snake get a stuck with being the star of a card game? And why is that one of the better games that are on the PSP? Point Blank, the PSP sucks and has no games that support it being a good system. Not to say that it doesn't have potential, or that the idea of a PSP isn't a good idea, it's just that it doesn't have a decent libray of games for gamers, who are acually the ones that willing to buy this system.

Wow... Never really thought I would ever keep a blog, but when I found that the option was here, the more I felt inclined to actually post some notes. So, let me start:
I just got finished playing God of War 2 (great game by the way), and I am a little salty over the ending. *Spoiler Alert* The ending really sets the scene for what I'm assuming will be a next-gen sequel that will encompass several different God Battles which sounds so cool in theory. I just hope that God of War 3 still feels fresh and the designers stay innovative with this upcoming sequal. That, and I hope it doesn't take forever to come to the PS3.
This weekend I went to the store to purchase a new game after completing God of War 2, and saw that there is a collection of Metal Slug games for the PS2. I was on the verge of buying it until I realized I didn't want to pay $40 for that game and $40 for a game for my son. So, he got Teen Titans (which is hella cool for him and I to play together) and Tomb Raider Legends for me. Surprisingly, Tomb Raider is good. And I can't wait to finish this entry so that I can go play for an hour or so. In fact, I'm done! I'll continue later. Lara Croft is calling. Hopefully in my next blog, I'll remember to write about how tired I'm getting of GTA games and how I've had Liberty Stories for 6 months and haven't even opened it, nor do I have the desire to play the same game over, and over again from Rockstar.... and as hyprocrital as it sounds, I cannot wait until GTA 4 comes out. I'll probably be 1st in line for it! LOL!
