i would agree that Gears of War is overrated. i played the first one all the way through and I play on-line for GoW2 with some friends every now and then but I still don't really like it.
wouldn't count on it. don't mean to trash your hopes but the MMO is going to take the place of KOTOR 3. i wish there was a KOTOR 3 because the endingfor KOTOR2 was ahorrifying cliffhanger that's begging for a sequel. but i'll remain open to the MMO. so long as it doesn't suck like Star Wars Galaxies then I'll consider it.
i really don't care about in-game advertisements. i mean, iunderstand the issue but i don't why everyone makes such a huge fuss over it. so long as my game doesn't automatically pause in the middle of playto take a moment to listen to a few messages/advertisements from thesponsors then I'm cool with it most of the time. sometimes it can compliment the setting of the game but i really don't care. the only in-game advertisements i don't mind listening to are the fake ones in grand theft auto 4. those are priceless!
i'm not a huge zombie-killinggamer and, despite being so repetitive, i'm more of a WW2 shooter if given the choice so I've probably killed more Nazis than zombies. then again, I played theHouse of the Dead games a lot for the arcade so it might be evenly matched, haha. it is funny you should mention that because I was at Barnes & Noble several weeks ago and I came across a humorous book that was like a zombie killing manual/survivor guide that talked about the bestand pretty much allways to kill zombies from shovels to swords to machine guns. it was all humor but interesting nonetheless.
i would have to say that Maniac Mansion was probably one of the more memorable games. it was for me, at least. but I also appreciated Legend of Zelda and Adventures of Link.
i regret selling away Perfect Dark 64. yah, I totally regret that. I ended playing my N64 a little bitduring my first year in college and it would have been great to have played that game again. a sad thing that Rare totally destroyed it with Perfect Dark Zero. but i kept Goldeneye so it wasn't too depressing - it was the game that practically set up Perfect Dark to be the greatest shooter until Halo arrived. and i kept Zelda: Ocarina of Time so it wasn't a total loss but Perfect Dark was awesome.
