too short
by polarsternsturm on Comments
Finished Medal of Honor: European Assault on X-Box, all I can say is,”Damn that game is short!” There was several things wrong with this game. The Squad based AI was shot, In a firefight your comrades stand still just taking enemy fire, yet when you try to heal them, they wont stay still making it frustrating at times. The Game is very short, with no replay value. No Online play. The levels themselves are large and not so linear. The game is fun to play, but the game could have been improved on so many levels. No worries though, I only rented the game.

What a day,
Today was pay day, got a big fat check. After paying bills, went by Gamestop to put some cash on my X-Box 360, which really pissed me off, but more on that in a second.
As of now, I owe a little bit more then 130 dollars on the 400 dollar system. I also have Condemned: Criminal Origins and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion paid off. In addition to that, I also have put some money down on Perfect Dark Zero: SE. Not too shabby….until
When I was asked if I reserved for the first shipment or second shipment of X-Box 360’s I thought it was the first because nobody had informed me there was a second shipment. But when I found out my 360 was on Second, I was pissed! What the hell?! Why wasn’t I told about this ahead of time? So my 360 may be there at launch, it may be a week later, they don’t know. ARGH!!!!
Anyway, still looking at Ghost Recon: AW, Quake 4, maybe some other games like Prey. I want another controller and the S-Video card connection for my TV
Nintendo..and that controller

Well,well,well,
Saw that Nintendo controller for the Revolution, Ugh! I don't want to bash big N, but what are they doing? I don't see it going over too well here in the States. Maybe in Japan, they like the inovation, but it's just a hyped up remote control with the advantage of a mouse mixed with the old Light un for Duck Hunt. And if you want an analong controler you have to pay extra? At least the launch of the Revalution is a ways off, maybe they will rethink that damn remote.
tired

Another long day is over. Man, I’m so tired. I requested the 22nd off for the X-Box launch already. I think I will at least get that day off from work. Anyway, Im going to keep this short.
I got Saints tickets!!
by polarsternsturm on Comments
Howdy,
Just found out X-Box 360 will now be released on Nov 22nd. I wouldn’t have a problem with this, but I had requested time off from work starting the Nov 15th, (thinking that would be the release date. But looking on the bright side, it gives me more time to buy more games and accessories before the launch date. Trying to think positive here.
With that news, I’m going to get five games before launch date. So far I have Condemned: Criminal Origins in the bag, my money is down for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, now I’m looking to pre buy games such as Prey, Perfect Dark Zero, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Dead Rising, and Gun. Other games like Chromehounds and Gears of War look awesome to me, but the release of such games are further down the line. Huxley also looks like a blast, but not sure if it’s a release title.
On a somewhat sad note, I have chosen not to renew my subscription to City of Heroes. I loved the game when I first got it, but I find myself in a financial bind right now. To be honest, most of my extra money is going to my X-Box 360. It’s kind of sad, but I have made my choice.
Also Saints tickets went on sale yesterday here in San Antonio. And I’m happy to say I will be going to the first two games here in town. I’m very excited that San Antonio is getting a chance to see some real football, live. I was lucky to snag some tickets for the Saints vs. Falcons game because I think it’s already sold out. You can try to see me on television; I’ll be the one throwing a beer at Michael Vick.
X-Box 360 punishes my wallet

Tuesday
As gas prices have been kicking my ass, so has the X–Box 360. Nothing has made my wallet scream in terror then Microsoft’s new beast. I’ve decided to Pre-Order Elder Scrolls IV. I still plan to get the new Ghost Recon game as well but still have to be patient. I am attempting to have 4 to 5 games pre bought by the time of launch, (if the release date is still Nov. 15th.)
I ordered a used version of Morrorwind: Game of the Year edition for X-Box. I did have the original version of the game, but traded off today. Oh well, it only cost like 15 bucks. Still have to save my cash for the 360 monster.
The Saints will be playing three games here in San Antonio. Tickets are not being sold yet. But I do plan on seeing the two games here in October.
Sunday!!!

Sunday ,
Worked all day yesterday and looking for some overtime from this past week. Lucky for me I work again tomorrow. I can’t wait to have this X-box 360 paid off. I already have Condemned in the bag and I’m aiming at Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as the next game I order. I’m still planning on getting Ghost Recon, and maybe Quake 4, not sure yet.
Gears of War still looks fantastic every time I see it. Just can’t believe it’s not going to be a launch title. It reminds me of that Warhammer 40k board game I use to see in comic shops like 5 years ago. Didn’t know much about it, but the artwork looked cool.
I also rented some movies at Blockbuster, and also rented Ghost Recon: Summit Strike. Not a bad game so far. But my main complaint about the game is that it’s only one squad of four. Where are the two squads? I know there trying to tell a story here where the focus is on one guy, (the one you play). But it takes away from what made the Tom Clancy games so fun, controlling squads! I hope they go back to that format soon. Maybe it’s just me who misses it.
