If you're having trouble you can try using "windows connect now" to transfer your settings on to the 360 (google it). You'll only be able to get as far as "MTU" in the network test right now though, Xbox LIVE is down for today due to maintainence.
I wouldn't expect Gears2 'till late 09. Epic have already said they're pretty busy with Gears Pc, and Unreal3 to do much else right now. Also, with the PS3 and 360 versions of UT3 being pushed back a little more, an 08 Gears2 launch could easily compete with UT3. Who wants to be in competition with themselves?
Also, there is a glitch that will give you a 1 hit melee kill. I've only seen it posted around and haven't tried it so i can't say if it actually works but it is out there. P.S. Don't glitch.
Assassins Creed without a doubt. CoD4 is going to be quite a fun shooter, but it still suffers from some of CoD3's problems. Assassins Creed however, is going to be likely the best game out this year. Get both if you can, but assassins creed will be better.
