@davillain-: Actually, i3-2120 :( Can I put an i7 chip on my motherboard as easy as putting in a stick of ram or does the motherboard have to be calibrated for that? Not wanting to dish out $800+ on a new pc at the moment but I want to play pc games.

@davillain-: Would Skyrim run on an i3 cpu with an EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti SC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card and 6 gbs ram smoothly with short load times?

If it drastically reduces load times then take my money.

The following was said by me at least 100 times throughout all of my numerous playthroughs: "I was just outside less than a second ago! Why do I have to wait an entire minute to reload an area I was just in?! All I did was walk in a godamn inn!"

@george43: No one tries to control the reapers on their own. They are indoctrinated first and then led to believe they want to control the reapers. The reapers use highly evolved lifeforms in this manner as a way to divide their society. What better way to destroy your enemy than to have them destroy themselves?

Saren hates humans because he felt they were expanding too quickly and received undeserved attention. Sovereign, one of the first reapers to awaken and scout the galaxy picked up on this, seduced Saren, indoctrinated him, and you know the rest.

Martin Sheen hates all non-humans because he feels humans are not getting a fair deal with the council races and is just an asshole in general. Sovereign, like what he did with Saren, does his thing and you know the rest.

I am not sure of anyone else trying to control a reaper.

Shepard would only control them out of necessity. He had no motivation other than doing what was in everyone's best interests. You spend 3 games working very hard getting everyone to get along with each other. He is space Jesus basically, and makes a similar sacrifice.

Feel free to explain your take on the situation.

@george43: I was. Everyone who thought they were controlling a reaper, Saren and Martin Sheen, were in fact first indoctrinated and then led to believe they were in control or even had a chance at controlling them. The only reason Shepard chose to control them was to use them to achieve a universal peace between organics and synthetics. It was the best choice out of all 4 really. The synthetic route "forced" both organics and synthetics into a hybrid form. Destroying the reapers meant that all civilizations would be thrust back into their industrial ages and that the cycle would more than likely continue in the future. Doing nothing at the end means the cycle continues.

@george43: Hmm, from what I gather, Shepard taking control means he becomes the hive mind source - the reapers are now an extension of his will. Shepard evolved into a god so to speak. You can see the reapers repairing the relays and cities in the end cut scene while Shepard explains what he has become and his intentions. He is ending the cycle of destruction and will use his new power to protect and guide both organic and synthetic life to a future where they all get a long.

@AsharelI: I believe that the developers didn't have a trilogy in mind at the time.

I like to think that Soveriegn was sort of a rogue reaper and the citadel didn't open for it because the catalyst didn't think it was time since it was just one reaper doing anything - the rest were still in deep space napping.

3 years later and people are still mad about the ending of me3. I had no problem with it as I chose to "assume direct control" of harbinger and became lord of the reapers. Quite a satisfying ending in my opinion.
