@Benifited Except that most people here aren't simply writing it off and teling her to shut up. She brings up good point, but she also ignores some points that many of us feel should also be discussed. We are adding to the discussion. I'm not writing her off, though.
Exactly. I also very much agree with what you said about Chell. I mean, how many people actually knew that was her name? To be honest, I didn't know until I read this article. I've only played the first Portal game, and I don't remember them giving her a name, unless I wasn't paying attention.
It's really annoying hearing these feminists preach about the poor stereo-types for female characters in gaming and media in general, while at the same time they unwittingly bring up the poor stereo-types of male characters. What, are these feminists too good to try and help dispel the awful stereotypes male characters have. Like the dumb, useless husband for example?
It's amazing how closely these stereotypes she talks about in a way relates to the male characters as well, which she never seems to want to talk about. Speaking as a man, it's unfortunately not all sunshines and rainbows for males, a pre-conceived notion many feminists seem to have.
Of course there is no new Mario or Zelda or Metroid genius. Stop acting like they had to show it. Zelda will obviously come later. Just because Wii had a launch Zelda doesn;t mean every Nintendo console will launch Zelda. Stop setting your expectations so high.
Good. What a garbage Brothers in Arms game it would make. It should have been called something else instead. and leave Brothers in Arms the way it should have been and continue the story.
Or don't buy their games at all. Which is what I have done. I am fed up with their practices. I decided not to buy Street Fighter x Tekken because of the garbage DLC. I also decided not to buy Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 because Jill and Shuma were still dlc. They should have just been included in the game with the other news characters. I learned my lesson with Street Fighter IV. I bought the super version as well, then they released an arcade version. Capcom will get no more of my money.
Crapcom, I'm sure many people didn't buy Street Fighter vs. Tekken because they didn't want to put up with your garbage DLC practices. I'm one of them.
