Ok, I'm going to give you a straight up answer.

I own both COD4 and CS:S.

CoD4 has an excellent single player but it's short. Online it's extremely fun, but you WILL get bored. I've played pub for a long time, got bored, made a clan and competed, and after doing that for a while I got bored as well. You learn where everyone is after a few days playing time so it's nothing new.

I recently bought CS:S and I love it. Single player (in other words a bot game) is fun and if you can't go online for any reason, playing against these SMART bots will keep you occupied. As for online, people are really good and it will take some getting used to (physics and gun feel), but once you settle down with it, it's a blast. Just find a couple good servers and you're on a roll. I have yet to compete in this game, so I can't comment on that game style.

As you can tell they are both great games, but I'm going to go with CS:S. It will last longer. It's already been out for 4 years and running strong. COD4 was released a few months back and I can almost guarentee this summer it will drop in activity a LOT due to the new games coming out.

If it's CSS just Alt+Tab... you have lots of time in between rounds.

Convince them to get XFire (best way). Or the new GSC service.

open fraps, go to the movies tab and select the 50 fps button, or higher, you have the 30fps one selected right now.McJugga

It is... but it still won't go that high.

b0ssy: I'll try that tonight, thanks.

Isn't there a solution to boost the FPS I am getting? Would turning off all BG programs help? I have Vista so I can't really tell what's needed for this OS (it's new).

How can I get my FPS up to 60 while recording in game?

I check off 60 FPS but when I go to record it drops to 30. And without it recording I easily hit 115+ on CS:S.

Ok, finished...

Unfortunately the last slide went to a silver BG when it should've been black like the rest, but after 4 hours of uploading, I'm not going to complain. Yes I will :P I'll get a high quality vid up soon, but for now:

Awesome, I think I'm going to go with those, but I'm just curious if you happen to know if it's surround? :o

Sandro909

I threw out the package so I wouldn't be able to tell you. But from personal in game experince I can tell where a person is running around me (front, back, left, right). So that'd be surround right?

Not meaning to be rude, but I thought these threads were dying...
