[QUOTE="ps3gameplayer"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]

you keep missing the "not even reviewed by the same person" part.

sometimes elements work. sometimes they don't. removing features and replacing them with new ones sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. you said yourself that you haven't played sc:conviction so how can you judge? i wasn't saying that you suggested putting the multiplayer in the review. what i was saying is that you revealed that your opinion is you didn't like the changes made to gta4. some did like them. in the case of the reviews, the reviewer liked the gta changesand a different reviewer not so much for the splinter cell changes. where's the bias?

splinter cell became less of a stealth game than gta4 did as a sandbox game.

CaseyWegner

well the GTA IV review should state something about removed features also the website is biased against many other games though The Tomb Raider Underworld review makes me sick, it says the game is too familar to previous games even though is has DIFFERENT levels, a DIFFERENT story and some DIFFERENT gameplay mechanics. But the New Super Mario Bros review does not say anything like that even though is has the SAME levels, the SAME story and the SAME gameplay.

you keep getting side tracked so let's focus on one thing at a time. the games were reviewed by different people. do you acknowledge that?

Well can't you at least check the reivews to stop the website from being so biased, but seriously the Tomb Raider Underworld review here on gamespot is worst than Big Rigs Over the Road Racing and Just Beiber combined.

Okay lets end this thread here, I thank you for your contirbutions.
After playing some Just Cause 2 and then some Uncharted 2, i can really see why people care about it, thankfully Just Cause 2 doesn't have an engaging story.

Mario is untouchable if you like platformers because of excellent level design and pinpoint accurate control. If you want a game with a deep story you are really looking in the wrong place.

Euaggelistes

Your right about the pinpoint accurate control but i think the level design is bland and looks like nothing sorry, and of course you can't expect a deep story from a mario game but we shouldn't have to get the same one over and over either

I'd say so, i have had my PS3 since 2008 so of course i only have a 40gb harddrive and i am always uninstalling and reinstalling games because of that, go for the biggest one there so you have room for a huge game collection

I do. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were awesome, but the rest of the series doesn't deserve all that hype.

I haven't had the chance to play the galaxy ones but i don't see what the big deal is about the other ones

I found Streets of LA good but was ruined by the awful control scheme on the original Xbox, didn't play the PS2 version, anyway i will have to give this a try and hope they fix that awful control scheme because i love open world games.
Plus as stated, it will piss off Acitivi$ion.

Lets just say, Gamespot didn't give the new ones a 10 by accident.

http://www.gamespot.com/super-mario-galaxy-2/reviews/super-mario-galaxy-2-review-6263170/

According to Gamerankings, Galaxy 1 and 2 are the 2 highest rated games of this generation, 2nd and 3rd highest rated games of all time, behind only Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

http://www.gamerankings.com/browse.html

Overrated? Lol.....

arkephonic
I never mentioned Gamespot gave any Mario a 10 (i know they did but i didn't mention it), i mentioned ign giving the gameplay section of New Super Mario Bros a 10

The idea that Nintendo "makes the same game every time" is erroneous to the point of being down right silly. You can think Mario is over rated, but at least come up with a legitimate reason as to why.meetroid8
because they ARE the same every time, new super mario bros is more the same than ever, yet ign gives the gameplay a 10 why don't you give me a legitimate reason why they deserve all this praise while other games get bashed for mario problems
