Yes, it is a staple of the Halo experience. IMO, they really have dropped the ball on this one. Even EA is getting there stuff together and not just rehashing. Thats what Halo 3 is, a situation of a developer just cashing in.

as much as I hate to say it they're not gonna make it $20 like they did with the 2k5 sports games because its too early for a cut in price and look at all the other 2k sports games this year they all started at $60 so I wouldnt be surprised if they do start at $60andyboiii

2k8 is a joke. The only way I would own this game is if someone gave it to me, and with the 60 dollar price I wouldn't count on anyone buying it. The game just exudes buddiness, the fake teams uniforms and colors are terrible, there are no gameplay modes, the passing game is an afterthougt, the animations look rigid, recievers just quit running their routes for no reason. I could list more thats wrong, but it would be redundant. Its funny how you 2k guys say that us Madden fans will buy anything thats shoved down our throats, but you're the ones buying this rehashed, one trick pony. You don't see us EA guys running out to buy generic, unlicensed garbage. Playing 2k8 doesn't make you cool or edgy. All of you2k8 fans should go buy Arena Football League to round out your mediocre collection. Cheers!

I've played a few games on APF2k8, and I think it's definitely in the 8-range. If it was deeper, it'd be mid-high 9s IMO. The gameplay is awesome; for the most part, it's like NFL 2k5, but some aspects are changed(a new, more challenging kicking system for one thing). I loved 2k5's gameplay, so I really can't complain there. On a side note, the AI is definitely smarter than 2k5, which is a good thing. It's obviously still not perfect, but I'd say it's above average.

One thing that disappointed me a little is that you can only do single-team (offline) season modes. My brother and I usually make a season where both of us have a team, so this kinda bummed me.

I'd say the graphics are slightly better than Madden 07. The player models(and grass) in Madden are a little better(although I do like how not everyone is on roids in apf2k8) than apf. But, APF's animations blow Madden's out of the water.

From my experience, the announcers in apf2k8 mostly use the same lines from ESPN NFL 2k5. I was hoping for everything to be different from them, so I was(very slightly) disappointed. They're still better than anything Madden has to offer.

I haven't tried online yet, so I'm a little excited to start that.

All-Pro Football 2k8 is an excellent game. Anyone who loved NFL 2k5 will like this game. Most people probably don't want to spend $60 on it, and I understand that -- but I am happy I did.

APF 2k8 has amazing graphics, amazing gameplay and it's something different unlike the EA games.

I'm still gonna get both madden and ncaa but I'm just saying APF 2K8 is worth it.

I just don't feel its worth $60 though, you know what I mean. Its kinda like the first Madden on the 360, just a tad short on features with unrefined gameplay. I think competition is a good thing since it will push EA to make a better product. How is it different though, its just like 2k5, it might be different from an EA game, but it is just like the other 2k football experiences. NCAA is a whole new ballgame on the 360, you should check it out, you just might be surprised!
