click on start - run - dxdiag

or

right click on my computer - manage - devicemanager - sound

or just go to the manufacturer's website and check for your motherboard updates

always great to go midrange. that way u keep up with newer tech and dont feel bad after newer , better , faster products are launched just after u spent 500 $ for a gpu.

just buy an 8600gt if u need a gpu now or stick around till november .

well u know how the intel guys are.someone already explained this another thread but here it goes.the newer processors are the new flagship products.in order to phase out the older ones they make the newer ones cheaper and well for the older products they keep the rates the same.

considering the bus speed, a person buyin a new system will for sure go for the higher system bus which is cheaper and better.even i am plannin to upgrade soon . i have a "preshot" p4 3 gig processor socket 478. so for me i have to change the mobo neways. maybe u should check out the p35 boards which have been tested and reviewed already or u can wait for the x 38 launch like me. but these x38 chipsets have been known to run at high temps so i ll wait for the results and upgrade by november end.

or try flashin your bios with a new update if there is one available for supporting 1333mhz processors .

This seriously sucks.

just when i was contemplating on buying an 8800 this fall there has to be rumours of a 9800.

what the hell do i buy guys

i dont want ma comp to be low performance in a year just after spending 500$.

i think i ll buy an 8600gt for now and perhaps wait for 10800 gtx

i dont think so.

i guess most publishers wont make a mistake like what microsoft did to halo 2 .

expect games for both platforms for another 2 years.
