What is so difficult about Blue tooth that for some reason you lemmings can't understand. Listen and learn.

Blue tooth supports 8 channels. All blue tooth technology works this way, not just the blue tooth technology in the PS3. The first channel would be the PS3 itself. The rest can be used for any peripheral such as controllers, headset, keyboard, mouse, psp, blue tooth version of eye toy or any other media device. Bluetooth consumes less power, is less susceptible to interference and cost as much as the 2.4ghz set up MS used for their 360.

The PS3 is equipped with two HDMI ports and one a/v port. So that's a total of three ports to display screens. But I think only two can be used at a give time. So basically that a bbter version of system link. One console, one game, two tv's vice two 360's, two copies of the same game.

Sony did the right thing by going with blu-ray. The compatiblity 360 claims to have with outside device cannot compare to what PS3 can do. 7 channels to connect with other blue tooth devices and six usb ports vs 360's 2 usb ports and a 2.4ghz signal that can only be utilized by four controllers.

I think in this particular area the winner is clear.

For those hermits that say PC has better gaming than consoles, you are correct. To bad you had to invest $1600 or more dollars to make it happen. Start saving up another $600 dollars cause you know in a year or two a new video cards will come out to make your current one obslete.

If your going to play co-op missions online then 16 total is fine. But if it's team vs team deathmatch then 8 vs 8 is freaking weak for next gen. Shyt I could play 16 vs 16 now with my PS2.

The reason why Sony put a BR drive in the PS3 is to secure the format war. No Toshiba HD-DVD player will ever come close to the sale of a PS3. PS3 will own Toshiba HD-DVD players when it comes to sales. Basically more homes will have BR drives which mean more BR content will be sold which mean movie studios will support BR more than HD-DVD since they are getting better sales as compared to HD-DVD. So that right there is reason number one.

Second and a low second at that is for games. As of right now it seems we don't need all that space for gaming. But then again non of us here are gaming developers so in the end developers will decide if the space was needed or not. If it's not needed then we won't see any games out for blu-ray, if it is needed than we all will see games out on blu-ray which in turn would be a blow to 360. So it's a 75% chance that it's not needed and a 25% chance that developers might get creative and use the space

Now we all know 360 could get add-ons but come one people, add-on are never successful. For example Sega CD, Turbographics 16 cd, Sega 32x, PS2 HDD. Let's say if 360 sells 40 million consoles and out of all those owners 15 million bought a HD-DVD add on. You think a gaming company will make a HD-DVD game when only 15 million can play it when they could of made a game on dvd that all 40 million owners are able to play.

MS played it safe. They're going with DVD9 which will still provide everyone enough space to make great games. The only time this might be a problem is if developers out there decides to make games using blu-ray. This will cause PS3 to have more exclusive and maintain their title as console king. But 360 will still have a good fanbase.

Honestly it's all going to come down to the games. If PS3 and 360 maintain the same standards of  having great games then PS3 will win just for the fact there is a much bigger fanbase for Playstation than there is with xbox. Sony holds their fate in their own hands. If PS3 ends up having crappy games which nobody likes then their fanbase will turn to either Revolution or 360. If PS3 ends up too expensive I see people getting a different system for the time being untill PS3 becomes affordable. Other than that, there is no other way for PS3 to lose. They have to big of fanbase.

[QUOTE="VGKING"]

It's "standards" fault that the PC only has one game above 9.5?... then why does nearly every system have a couple and PC only one.... TEH STANDARDS... LOL

dynamic1

Then why did Half Life 2 with its 9.2 completely OWN Halo 2 with its 9.4 for Best Shooter of the Year when GOTY 2004 awards came around?

How come PC was platform with the the highest amount and more Nominees in Gamespot's Overall GOTY list for 2005 than any other platform?....all of them Exclusive btw......how many "next-gen" console games made the list?

Notice a console game with much inferior hardware was competeng with PC games who most likely took advantage of the best hardware.

As far as nominees since this is Console vs PC you have to take the total of all console nominations which 5 vs PC's 4. Now if you look even further look how diveresed all the nominations for consoles are while PC is will forever be known for FPS, MMORPG and RTS. PC gaming is confined and restricted.

For Sony to have a good online plan all it needs is a couple of things,

1. Minimize lag as much as possible.

2. Good support structure to fix glitches and remove cheaters.

3. One username and password

4. Universal friends list.

5. Free!

That's really it. Everything else is just bonus.
