I have been looking for a new mp3 player and am finding it impossible to find a good one due my particular needs. So maybe an mp3 guru on here would be able to help out :) this is what im looking for in priority:

- not an ipod

- ability to drag and drop files in explorer. No lame program or "synching"

- Very good audio quality.

- ability to change music blind. (not needing to look at the screen)

It seems any quality mp3 player forces users to use some lame program, and the ones that dont require you to are the little cheap ones.

not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but is there a way to record pc game footage directly onto a server with some sort of capture card? I dont know much about them or how they work so I'm not too sure. I also play most of my pc games on a HDTV.

thanks for the input. I'm leaning more now to OCing my cpu to 3.0 or so, but am unsure about the heat issue. Currently it runs at about 40C under load and dont know what is a safe temp and voltage limit for a q6600.

also, I might have the option to sell both 8800's for $250 to a friend of mine (they have watercooling blocks on them) . with 295's going for $480 where I live, that would make getting a 295 only cost me about $230. Would that be worth the upgrade, or is it still too soon?

[QUOTE="punjad"]

its upgrade time again! I cant seem to make up my mind on what to upgrade.

Here are my current specs:

Mobo: Nvidia nforce 680i

CPU: q6600 @2.4Ghz

RAM: 4GB patriot DDR2

GPU: 2x Geforce 8800GT in SLI

HDD: 2x 10k rpm 120GB in RAID 0, 1x 1.5TB Seagate

PSU: 800watt

will have around a grand to spend, what are the best options? The i7 seems nice, but would require a new mobo as well.

UltimateGamer95

Sell your current rig and use the money towards a new one. If you are going to spend about $1000 then there is really no point in upgrading.

I'd say go with either a core i5 or phenom II setup so that you will hopefully be able to afford a 5770 or 5850 video card.

the reason Im trying to upgrade and not just buying a new rig, is because i have a LianLi V2000 case (which they dont make anymore btw) all modded for watercooling. also i never really buy computers, i build myself

*hates not being able to edit posts*

just to clear up something, the slowdown is permanent until i restart the game....not just when it starts. (i'd be damn silly to start a topic about that XD)

thx for the response. The slowdown is usually happens after something stressful to the computer takes place (big fire fight, lots of rendering/physics ect). My temps "should" be fine, CPU runs at 55C under stress and GPU's at 67C. Confimed those temps with that program you mentioned and speed fan
