Come on Sony another charge! This should just be a update not another charge on top of Plus. Another monthly cost!! Sorry Sony this doesn't smooth over well for me at all.
The argument of a game costing $60 for it ending quickly. Well go to a movie it's cost is easily $20+ for Movie ,Drink & popcorn 2 hours. A game $60 average single player game is 8-15 hours. that's still more entertainment for the dollar than what it costs to see a 1.5 to 2 hour movie.
get more entertainment per dollar for a video game than a movie.
Sure they are the same game but gamespot forgets that there are differences between them. I remember when graphics meant something it's art and someones hard work to achive this. Not counting that in score is a lame way to make sure consoles can get higher reviews they don't always deserve. The fact that all 3 version got same score proves they make scores so consoles have a chance to shine on reviews and push more sales. A lot of people look at these reviews before buying. When they see ohh look all versions got same score so cool I just get it on my 360 or PS 3 since they are the same.
I am really starting to dislike gamespot. I mean they gave Crysis 3 same score as consoles?! PC version out shines both console versions in graphics and how smoothly it runs on PC. I've noticed this type of scoring before on other games it's crap reviews are really narrow and plainly has turned into consolespot.com
There is no way the consoles are as good as PC version I've played on all consoles to verify this. PC version is by far the better version. And this hole that used to be the place I went for real reviews is no more.
I see comments about pc gaming is dead and consoles can do what pc do. In all truth some games on console do compare to pc. That's because consoles have stagnated graphics with its ancient hardware. Unfortunate for pc gamers today we get crap console ports that are still using dx9 programming for consoles. A few good examples of pc games are Crysis and Crysis 3 games consoles just can't touch. If programmers actually programed for dx11 pc ground up games would of moved forward 5 years ago.
@frylock616 @puppeteer Sure but if it means the loss of AAA titles due to fund issues a disc won't be needed for anything except for games that can not be developed to match todays or tomorrows hardware.
What would help is no more exclusives if a game was offered on all platforms sales would increase. This won't be the case for AAA titles that just suck.
Another saving point is no more discs all titles should be digital by now especially here in the states pretty much everyone can get a high speed connection. Of course this can't happen everywhere but the countries that do have a widespread broadband connection can.
Slow down! Don't employ a tonne of people to get the game out in a few years. Or use a little larger team but release games in episodes this seems to be a growing trend anyhow. I'm sure there are other ways to save.
