Ok I think I'm becoming a Halo 2 Addict. I got the game 2 days ago. I have never played Halo in my life (yes I know shush up) so I thought I'd try it out. Normally I'm good when it comes to FPS games, its my type of thing. So I fired up Halo and went to an online match right away. So I was in my first match, Slayer and I was using the SMG. 10 min goes by and I notice my score, 28 kills. I was number 1 in that server and I felt pretty good considering it was my first time playing this game. So I've had the game for 2 days so far and I've played over 68 games. My average is to come in first, second, or third. I don't know but I think I'm made to play Halo, It's just so fun. I use to tell people it was over rated but I can't say that anymore. Anyway I'm going back to Halo 2, I can't wait till Halo 3 comes out.

Well ill make a long story short, I sold my Xbox 360 Pre. Because I dindt feel like gaming anymore. Three weeks after I sold it I regret it because I really wanted to play. So With the money I sold it for I Bought a..yes you guess it ... a PLAYSTATION ...... OK cut that out..I bought a XBOX 360 ELITE. All I have to say is it looks sexy. ALmost everyday for the past 5 years the first thing I did when I woke up was turn on my computer. This summer i'm going to be gone for 2 months with NO computer access what so ever. Yes you read that, No computer access what so ever. I am part of the Canadian Armed Forces and they are taking me for summer training. The Two months I will be gone and I will miss you all at gamespot. There have been a lot of nice people here to help me out when I needed help. Thank you everyone!!

Do I really need to explain? Take a look :D

   The shootings at VT University were a disgusting event in which we society never want to see again. Already the world has seen horrific and disturbing images. Families, friends, students, and all who knew the slain are now mourning them as we speak. In par with these events an American attourney Actavist is using the Deaths of these brave men and women to his own use.

  Jack Thomson is known for his role for trying to get rid of video games. He has constatly been trying to find out ways to blame video games for certain events in the world. At first I thought the man was just doing his job as would anyone who wants to keep the world safe. But, as par with these shootings Jack Thomson has of course blamed video games for these shootings. Futhermore thats not what got me sturring. Jack Thomson went DIRECTLY to blame Charman of Microsoft BILL GATES. I think this is very distrubing to think of in such a way. The deaths of these brave men and women was a tragic event and Jack Thomson, a grown man goes out and blames a man who does not in any way have anything to do with this horrable shootings. This brings up the topic of violent video games in society. I believe CTV news needs to cover this topic more broadly and maybe ask Jack Thomson as to why hes making these horrific blames.

  The common world of video games does not take Jack THomson seriously anymore. At first he had logical reasons and gamers alike would feel at par with him. But recently Jack Thomson has been blaming the wrong people and going to far with his arguments. Directly blaming Bill gates for the VT shootings is utterly distrubing. Well I am reading a lot of topics on this fourm getting a lot of people yelling at Microsoft for pricing on Xbox Live arcade titles, Maps for games, and such items. Well a lot of people dont know enough about this and they are getting mad at the wrong people . I am making this post to clear A LOT of things up.

WHy

Why do arcade games cost so much? Why are little things like weapons and maps cost so much? A lot of people are wondering this. The company that chooses to put this content up picks the pricing. Microsoft does not pick it for them , Microsoft only assist them on what it shoudl cost. Microsoft has nothing to do with the pricing of how much a company wants to charge for a certain arcade game. I have talked to Major Nelson plenty of times and he told me this question is asked a lot. He wanst to get it clear, I will say it again from his words "Microsoft Does Not choose the pricing on arcade titles, and items for games. It only assists companies if they need help".

So What To do?

Well this answer is simple, If you really want an arcade game you buy it. The reason the Marketplace has trails is for you to try out a game to see if its worth buying in your mind. If you really like it then I believe 10 dollars wont be a killer for your wallet to do somthing you love. If you really want content on a game then you buy it. Its not nescisary, developers say many times that its not needed at all to play the game. In most cases maps and such for games end up being free after a while. I want to state again that Microsoft does not pick the pricing so its not Microsoft who should get bashed for this.

   A lot..and I mean A lot of people have been asking me my opinion of what I think of the Playstation 3. Since I mostly play my Xbox 360 people want to know why I dont hate the Playstation 3. Ever since these next gen systems came out people have been fighting over whats best and whats nicer and so on. Well I have a vast majority of opinions in this topics and if I really talked about all of them then I think I would take up all of gamespots server space. I will just list a bit of my opinions on why I dont hate any systems of this gen.

   The playsation 3, Nintendo Wii, and The Xbox 360 are all made by different companies in hope to compete for the household living room. All consoles offer somthing different from one another. The Nintendo Wii has a "revolutionary" controller and gameplay which has "never" been tried before in a gaming system. Its games are based for the whole family to play. The Playstation 3 is a powerhouse. Its a very strong system, hardware wise, and offers a huge amount of power. The playstation 3 also offers blue ray. The Xbox 360 made my microsoft is aimed at online participation of everyone around the world. Another goal of the 360 is to become the owner of living rooms across the modern world. Each 3 of these consoles are completly different and are all build very well, well ok the 360..lets not start with that, but all in all they are built well. Each one aims at a different audience so there is no reason to get mad at someone for buying a different platform than you. Everyone has different opinions when it comes to there home living room.

   In my last blog post i talked about how gamers from each platform bash each others head off for using it. This is uderly disgusting. If someone wants to buy a Playstation 3 then let them, its their money their spending not yours. Same with the Xbox 360, if someone is buying an Xbox 360 then let them why bash them? This is how I view the system of of this generation. Its really 360 Vs PS3, Nintendo is just chilling in the back waiting to see who wins. Well I dont think there will be a real winner. The 360 has a lot of games to offer with a huge variation but the playstation 3 is still picking up its pace. The PS3 just came out and still has time to prove its self. The real system war wont start until 2008 when each system has picked its place in this world.

   Another point is this whole blue ray and HD-DVD compatition is getting a lot of customers confused. I will make a blog just to talk about this confustion and to try to clear up a lot of mix ups. Right now I think you should play what ever you desire. If you want to buy the playstation 3 and like the games on it..then go ahed and buy it. Dont let anyone stop you, as long as someone respects what everyone is playing thats what really matters. Because in the end were all gamers just trying to have fun. This is just a quote I though of but
