How? Sony sold 10 million Ps3 consoles in Japan last gen, that is hardly "irrelevant".
How so? The 360 sold a little over 1 million in 8 years and still lead over the PS3. That's how it's irrelevant.

No it didn't and you have NO proof to back that up. The last OFFICIAL numbers at the launch of the 8th gen had the 360 still ahead or at the very least tied. The 360 did all of this WITHOUT Japan. Remember, the PS3 was coming off the humongous success of the PS2 and was supposed to slaughter the 360 within the 1st couple of months. That NEVER happened and it did it without Japan's support. I'd say that makes Japan irrelevant. Try all you want but a successor to a console that managed to ONLY sell around 24M, going against the all mighty PS and managed to outsell it still.
