Thanks guys.

Now that I have all the parts in, build day is tomorrow. I'm excited. Only my second full build.

I'm about to do a new build and I'm trying to decide if I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows or transfer my data over. I'm not having any issues with my current OS, but it's just sometimes nice to have that completely fresh start. On the other hand, it would be nice to not have to download EVERYTHING again.

Suggestions? Thought? I will be selling the old rig if that matters.

@quikdash6: $700 seems high.

I'm looking to sell my current rig soon in order to offset some of the cost of a new build. I'm thinking $700 for it here in North Texas. Does that seem like a fair asking price? Too high, too low?

Well, the PS4 isn't running a whole lot of games at 1080p, and if they are they aren't at 60FPS. With the PC you would be able to play any new games that come out at a better performance level than the PS4...given the developer optimizes the game right *cough* Batman Arkham Knight *cough*. Not to mention it will be a full fledged PC capable of doing any number of other things.

If you aren't getting anywhere near your rated speeds with a wired connection there is something wrong. Even during heavy usage times it shouldn't be that far off. Wireless is a different story and probably will require you to get a better router. Power line extenders would work if you have an area like upstairs or further away that just isn't getting enough signal.

Malwarebytes. Whenever an issue seems to pop up I run this program, it finds the culprit, and removes it. My antivirus Avast seems to do nothing for this type of issue.

I would personally go for Option 2. At this point I think it makes more sense to move forward and go with the X99 and DDR4.
