I swear my comments are invisible sometimes. TURN OFF PHYSX. I'm not sure about the Redux version with better PhysX code like @topgunmv mentioned, but I was getting very choppy gameplay and as low as 17fps before I turned it off.

Turn off physX. I had the same issue with a 3570K and gtx770. Once I turned physX off everything was just dandy.
I was using the COD franchise as an example of a game that many people buy every year because it's new.
I don't think I'm in the minority saying I'll stick with BF4 either, but I guess time will tell.
Still plenty of people playing 4, but I would just wait for Hardline. No sense paying that price in India for an old game.
Why? They're pretty different games.
Why should he pay around $55 for a game that's old? Who gives a shit if they're different games? It's Battlefield, it's the same basic experience. BF4 players will move to Hardline when it comes out, there's no sense in wasting money when Hardline comes out in March.
Lol. Do you buy COD every year because it's the new one? Have you played either of these games? It is definitely not the same experience. I think Hardline is shit. I'm not switching just because it's newer. Newsflash, just because it's new doesn't make it better.

Benchmark time!!
It's tradition with every new build :D

Step 1: build PC
Step 2: Benchmark
Step 3: Profit!!!!?????
Then i suppose you may want to play games if you really have to :P
Some great games without spending money.
Planetside 2
Hawken
Team Fortress 2
War Thunder
Path of Exile
and soo many more.
The first thing you do with a new build is run benchmarks instead of playing games?
lols
Uh, yeah. You need numerical verification that your new system is BEAST!, better than your old build, and worth the money. Duh.
I've watched some Twitch game play and some YouTube clips. To me, it just looks like junk. I guess you could say that about a lot of these types of games that are coming out, but H1Z1 is just blegh IMO. Yeah foraging for good food, water, and weapons in DayZ SA can become tedious, but that's what makes being killed so much more real. Don't get me wrong, I'm also frustrated that it's taking so long to add simple things to DayZ SA like more vehicles, weapons, and ZOMBIES, but I still feel like it is a more fulfilling game.
a quick Google search led to needing to use display port to get 144Hz. DVI will only get you 120Hz. Perhaps that is causing the issue.
Yesterday, I decided to order a new PC as a replacement of my current rig. It will take about four to five weeks for this to arrive. My hope is for this to last me for the next four years.

A) No idea why you went with full tower but lets say it's for impressing people
B) i7, 5TB, 16GB RAM and GTX980 - please say that you bought this setup for editing... because it sure not a gaming setup, it might be a mix.
He's trying to "futureproof". There's nothing wrong with his specs, although chances are he paid too much for it.
@KHAndAnime: I'm a bit biased with my Define R4, but take a look at the Fractal Design line. Nice, simple, and clean looking cases with a good amount of cooling options. The new R5 is only $119. I do like the simplistic Corsair cases too though.
