LOOK at the first year of PS2 world wide it is nearly dubble that of Xbox 360!! PS3 is selling just as bad as Xbox 360 as PS3 is a year behind!! now with the price drops sales will pick up and with more games additial people will look at PS3. Many like myself will wait for a price of $399 or a huge list of games and more abilities for the PS3 then jump in.
Also again the PS2 has soooooo many titles that most people are getting all their games. I have 2 Xboxes and PS2s, and friends come over and we play Halo, Jack X, Timespliters FP... all the time and it compets with NG shooters to me in FUN!!
It will take till the end of next year to see who will break out and compete with Nintendo which is selling like PS2 did. And by then we should have some real NG games I hope that play different than Last gen games.
But for now those fanboys saying Xbox 360 or PS3 is going to win or is selling more is just sad as neither are selling greatly, and neither has games that are different from last year's games!!

Fine, play your PS2 then. Too bad it can't run a game like Gears of War, can't handle hundreds of zombies with their own individual AI like Dead Rising, and can't play blu-ray discs like the PS3. The PS2 has been out for TEN YEARS (that's 10 years of games), and it costs about ten cents to own one at the moment. The people supporting the PS2 are either cheap, don't have an HDTV, or are just unaware of how in the dust the PS2 is when you compare upcoming games. People still buy the GBA too, and is there any excuse for this? For $50 more, you can own a DS Lite that plays all the GBA games plus the DS games. Does that mean people should be buying a GBA? No. But again, if you'd rather go buy some Greatest Hits games than something like Mass Effect or MGS4, go for it. You're the one missing out, not the people who were willing to drop the cash for these two systems.
1. How does buying a ps2 make you cheap? People buy it because it has the best gaming library of all the consoles.2. You don't need an hdtv to play a next gen console.

Since the ps3canplay ps2 games AND ps3 gameswouldnt the ps3 have the best gaming library.Yeah the gamescould be alot better now buywhy wouldnt you like to play all the great games that is coming out this year.
