I agree with pretty much everything you said but I have to give it ot he PS3. The main reason here is the majority of 360 games I want are on PC so I buy them for that. There are a lot less PS3 games going to PC than the 360.Jade_Monkey

I dont think its fair IMO to even compare all 3 gen gaming systems by Sony.To me you cant even compare PS1/PS2 era to me because times is different from how it was back then. Games def did not cost as much to develop and Sony started in the race later. Sony didnt really have compitition really till the 360 hit the market.

So considering those circumstances i think Sony could of done a little better but i dont think they have been doing awful or a total flop as you guys are trying to make it seem.

A reputable perspective. I agree in some aspects. My view is, Sony is seasoned with experience, its success with the ps1 and ps2 should leave it with NO excuses not to do the same this gen. Where as money is a problem with most companys, its not a factor in this case either. Western technology for video games was counted out for that reason, a lack of true experience and sufficent funds. Last gen, Microsoft clearly learned what to do to dominate. Gaining experience and funds for the next project, the 360, they took a long shot at dueling out with Sony, the biggest and best in the business at the time. Sony, in my opionion, didnt take seriously to the fact that the wii and 360 are ACTUAL competitors. Now, their being out sold by Nintendo and Microsoft. THERE IS NO REASON THIS SHOULD BE.

I agree. But unless sony drops the price of the ps3 to around £200 they will be in trouble unfortunately.

Also what do you think of the new thread design? I think its ok, in some ways better than before but in some ways a little worse.

yea, but i read in a couple of places that sony is already loosing money on it consoles now. So im not sure if a price drop is too safe. As for the thread design, I dont have a problem with it, not too much better and not that much worse. So, I guess I agree with you, lol.

Going from what the PS1 and PS2 were to the PS3, in terms of business, it is the most epic disappointment in videogaming history. I am sorry but the way Sony dominated with the PS1 and 2, there is just 0 excuse for the state that the PS3 is currently in from the business side. Also, it is catching up to the 360, but who cares? The 360 will continue to sell as well and it will take a while for the PS3 to beat it from a sales/market share perspective.From the gaming side it is doing well, but from the business side it is an epic failure.UnrealSin_X
