hey guys, so its been the first week back at college for me and it was good. haha i should have done more work while i was off but damn PS3 is a distraction :D. I went to see the new fast and furious on tuesday i love them films and thought it was pretty good and know its been out in USA for like months but its pretty new in the UK anyway good film :)

Also can't wait for next week of to Alton Towers with some college mates and we get a day off haha. Ive never been but its meant to be good and is only costing a fiver, its a theme park BTW for people who's wondering :P

Gaming wise i just got my 10th platinum!!!! It was from legends of wrestlemania which i borrwoed of a friend pretty good! Its oushed me back up to the top of that trophy leaderboard mentioned in the previous blog and im now level 12 - 62% with a total of 889 trophies!

When im not after trophies ive been playing a lot of killzone 2 online recently man its so fun when ur in matches with 32 people who all have RPG's and all in small area when your defending or plating the bombs its just awesome! also with the new update it brings new ranks and trophies! The map pack is out next thursaday can't wait for that :)

Its kinda like a trophy leaderboard for all GS users (NOT all PSN users) and i am... FIRST!!! The reason my name isn't on there is because it says u need a PSN card for your sig as proof but i can't be bothered to make one but i should actually be first, those people who have added me on PSN or want to will see that I should be.

As you can see the guy currently in first is level 12 45%, I am level 12 48%. Its close i know but techicnally im winning. Now i will take into account not all users on GS won't have posted in this topic so it may be inaccurate but as it stands....

hello ppl its been a looooong time since i last used this site for blogging n stuff but noww i want to again and i intend to stay. So whats been going on...? well

Recently gaming wise ive still been active on my PS3 (as usual lol). but ive been on psp for a bit coz i got the new resistance game, which is the best psp shooter IMO if u have a psp check it out :)

Sparda has made me a new avatar so thanks to him kinda fits my username more then old ocelot from MGS4 (he's still awesome BTW :P)

New PS3 games i got are killzone 2, and resident evil 5 (only ones i can remember) both of which are awesome. err should i go into detail well a little :P

Killzone 2is a very good shooter, what can i say it has everything graphics, story sound and well nothing bad to say really. But where it really shines is the online. Easily beats COD R2 all the rest. its just so fun and well words can't explain it so go play it!

Resident evil 5 again nothing bad about it controls work well IMO (no matter what ppl say) brillant really, i think the co op is where it really shines though. and sheva is like one of the best female charcters ever :D

PS3 trophies!!!!!

yes its worth a mention that i got PLATINUM for BOTH RE 5 and killzone woooooooooooo :) 9 platinums in total now!! :)err yeah im a big trophy dude im like 50% level 12 on PSN now which is quite high. PSN

Wow im now PSN level 8 and almost got 400 trophies!!. I have 2 platinums, i think 19 golds, around 60 silvers and 300 odd bronzes. it takes ages to get to level 8 but i finally did it. I got a new PSN game called 'astro tripper' which is only £3 and is very enjoyable, its like a scolling shooter type thing. I dont really have many people on PSN so please add me (Altair864) and now for impressions on....

Now i must say Home is like awesome. I love everything about it and is how i thought it would be. so good things are: playing bowling, pool, chess etc. with friends is extremly cool. good community, the emotes are cool!!! you can dance whenever you want to!, environment with the random posters and video screens are a good feature. easy to pick up and use. Ok now the bad things: at first you have to download all the locations, only 5 locations, but saying that it is only a beta, not much to buy (again only a beta), C931!!!! (surely you all know what i mean :P) and people who are to good at bowling (lol) :(). yeah so all in all home is great but once youve seen it all theres not much reason to go back. now for....

My recent games

Ok so since my last blog lets see. Ok firstly i bought Midnight club LA. Now this is a very good racing game similar to burnout paradise but way more realistic, i like the game its no where near as difficult as everyone is making out, in fact best racing game of this year! but i do like burnout's online better.

Ah yes who could forget resistance 2. Of course i bought this and this is the best shooter of 2008 (well i havnt played cod wow yet but im getting that for christmas) err yeah resistance 2 online is just undescrible you just get yourself in a 60 player team deathmatch with bullets all over joint and tell me that isnt awesome, no lag neither. the single player is short but brillant with the scale just been massive and the graphics supurb. has trophies as well :)

right i lent battlefield bad company from a friend and well i can only say that its very underratted. I mean the story is just funny as hell and the online so good. the only reason it isnt as good as say R2 is it gets kinda repetive and theres only 2 modes. But its worth checking out seeing as its cheap now.

Another borrowed game is Mk Vs DC universe. Im not keen on the likes of fighting games but thiis is defintly the best one, it even has a proper storyline (well 2 technically). I borrowed it coz i love Dc comics and all my favs are in there. The online is good fun as well but theres some good people in there. Well im giving it back soon, the story isnt that long, but again its cheap now so if you like fighting games check this out. O btw CQuark ur pretty good (does ocelot hand gesture)

and my last PS3 game is just last week I bought the new prince of persia because it was on offer at game for only £20. Yeah one word for this game - Unique. Its so very unique and thats what makes it my 3rd best game of this year, yeah you heard me :). Reason? I mean everything really, the free open world, the length of the story, the story itself, the characters, the collectables, and mostly the graphics. It doesnt make it look kiddy (cough LBP cough) but more like a graphic novel type of thing and works very well, i dont have a single bad thing to say about this game.

Ah yes well who could forget my good ol PC. TBH ive onyl got 2 new games for it which are fallout 3 and 007 QOS

Now some of you may kill me now but... fallout 3 isnt that good. I mean i dont mind RPG but good this one is so hard. the graphics arent even that good on it, in fact the only thing i liked about it was the story but i didnt see how that turned out because i raged quit it.

Yeah this is like 7/10 i would say. The online is cack, but the single player is grear while is lasts. Its just an average type thing, i wouldnt bother with it really. I just got it coz i love bond :)

Whoooooooooooooooooo its GS 1 year anniversary!!! thats right its just hit the one year mark on me been a member on GS October 1st. So well lets start with how i joined the site and why. I don't remember the exact details but i was just browsing for a review of a game a PS2 game in fact and i came across this site. I seemed like a very good review site (over time i realised its quite bad sometimes) anyway i had a browse around and saw the forums and what not. So i decided to join because up until that point i hadn't really joined any gaming websites on the net.

I remember i wanted to get to level 3 or 5 i think it is to write my first player review. One thing i do remember is my very first friend on here is 'Tyzwain' :) i added him coz of a MGS2 review i think and he commented on my VERY first blog about MGS2 substance. After that i can't remember but after a year i have over a 100 friends :P

Level wise yes im still level 20 :( I reaced level 20 on July 3rd and now its October and i go on this site a lot wtf !!! o well im getting there. Emblems hmm for a year i don't really have any so i won't talk about them. I joined some cool unions and only just found out that i was the leader of PS3 gamers galaxy sorry Quark and gang ive kinda let it die havent i??? :(

Well thats that in other news i got 3 NEW PC Games. They are race driver grid, lego indiana jones and star wars knights of the old republic. Ive only really just got em race driver gird is awesome with great graphics and stuff good racing game, ive done two levels on lego Indiana jones and like it so far but.......... OMMMMMGGGGG

Star wars knights of the old republic..... easily like the best rpg ever!!!!! and one of my favourite games of all time!!! i mean seriously i can't evven out into words how much a like this game i mean ive played it for about 10 hours and looking at a guide ive hardly done anything. I mean games nowadays are crap length wise i mean hello COD4 ive completed you within 5 hours but older games last for much longer anyone else agree?

Hey guys. So ive started college again and its cool. I havent blogged since mercenaries 2 realease so i doing this BIG blog which covers some things which have been going on :)

OK so firstly what ive been playing latly is mercenaries 2 which i have now completed 100% so im kinda done with that for now again as i said at the beginning -awesome game. Ive also started playing burnout paradise again because of the new awesome update, yep it now has more challenges, weather, effects, night cycle and of course bikes!

OK i also got star wars force unleased for the PSP. ive been playing it as much as possible and from what ive seen its a very good game as a star wars fan i love it but it could please non fans, yeah so i really like this game :D

Another new item i bought was not a game but a book. Yeah i like to read now and again but i thought i would buy a book about a game and i was in a book shop and saw 'Halo first strike' and i thought wait i LOVE halo why not buy a book about it so i did. Its a great book actually ive red a few chapters and it really brings you in with it. Its set between the end of halo 1 and the beginning of halo 2.

and thats about all whats been happening with me lately. Im getting a new phone in a few days an IPhone. my dad just got a new one so im having his old one he just turned around and said 'you want it?' and im like hell yeah goodbye crappy samsung d900i lol.

So i got my much wanted game (M2) on Thursday and have been playing it a lot. GS gave it a 5.0 yeah wtf DONT TAKE THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF NOTICE TO THAT. Ive written my own review of it my first review in quite a while. Please if you have the game read it or if your thinking of get it read mine and not GS its gives proper thoughts of the game not from a GS reviewer who thought it would be a good idea to play the game for 5 seconds. So yeah please read, rate and comment here on it thanks :)

In other news i go back to college in 3 days noooooo i know people have already gone back to school i guess but i can't complain college can be ok anyway.

And this is totally random but i just complted crisis core and i must say as the onyl Final fantasy ive played/own its is brillant with a lengthly and involved story and well just.. wow if you have a psp get this game!

Out of my new pc games i have now just completed gears of war. I must say this game is very good i like the cover system and the story is excellent, too be honest i can't really say anything bad about this game really the online is really good as well but i would prefer to play it on a console (but no im not buying a 360 lol :D) i completed it on hardcore and again like COD4 the campaign was longer but still short, games these days should focus on single player and make it last really i like the single player part of games more then online. I suppose now im going to try and complete crysis so expect an update!

OK now star wars force unleased i downloaded the demo, played it, loved it and ive always planned on buying it BUT... i was going to buy it for PS3 but now im going to buy it for PSP instead. reason? well here: http://talkingaboutgames.com/content/view/1097/1/

Its confirmed that the two main versions will not have mutiplayer but the psp will have and also EXCLUSIVE to the psp version 'The PlayStation Portable version will feature an exclusive "historic mode" that allows players to reenact five battles and events from the Star Wars films'. So it sounds like the psp version will be pretty cool and i only have to spend £25 not £40 :)

So my first new PC game ive completed is Call of duty 4. I know im a bit late and everyone has had it for ages now but never mind. Ok the first thing i must say is that it is very very short but on the good side this campagin is properly one of the best one's ive ever played (MGS4 still No1 for its story). There's never a dull moment in it and you play as mutiple characters.

I believe you play as 6 characters, First been the main one Soap MacTavish of the SAS, then theres Sergeant Paul Jackson of the USMC how sadly dies because his helicopter is caught in a nuclear explosion he does survive briefly but then dies from radition after crawling out of the helicopter, then in a flashback mission you get to play as Captain Price, in one mission you play as American thermal-imaging TV operator aboard an AC-130 gunship, near the beginning of the game you play as Yasir Al-Fulani of the unnamed Middle Eastern country mentioned in the game he is carried away in the game and is killed, and finally you play as a British SAS counter-terrorist operative in one mission once you beat the game.

The ending made me be surprised Gaz and Griggs (and cpt price im not sure) all died, but a brillant ending none the less.

So final verdict on COD4 its amazing story is a must play but its over too quickly sound, graphics everything awesome i also tried online briefly and its ok but i often lag and ive played better online shooters.

As mentioned in a past blog i got a new PC now i got just 5 mega awesome games for it. There are COD4. Gears of war, star wars battlefront II, devil may cry 4 and crysis. I played a bit of all of them and love them all. I think COD4 has a brillant campaign with excellent visuals and challenging AI from what ive seen. star wars battlefonr II not much to say really... ive played the PS2 version to death but the PC version has better graphics and i can play online with it. DMC4 havent really played much yet and im finding it hard to without a gamepad ive just done the little tutorial mission where you fight the guy from the past DMC games. Crysis is amazing and one of the best FPS ive ever played. i love the different abilities you can use and the story so far is good. but my favourite out of these 5 is gears. I not sure why but its amazing 3rd person shooter with a brillant cover system and likeable characters.

not much more gaming news really except Mercenaries 2 is still on preorder and i can't wait for the davis update (for burnout paradise) Its going to include yet more challenges motorbikes weather and day and night time. also lots of new single player content including bike liecence and certain events which can only be done day or night. Unreal if your reading this you can back me up on how awesome it will be!!!!
